It looks like at least 70 % of females in Berlin are ugly pink/blue/green-haired feminists with unshaved armpits and without any taste of clothing. IDK who will date with such creatures. Remember: if you're man and you're not gay - don't even think to move to Berlin - you will be single here till the end of your life. With such "girls" it's the best choice.

I'm not OP, don't get me wrong. I support women's rights and equality in the workplace and other stuff. I'm not saying either that this type of people are exclusive of Berlin (although there are a lot of them) but this is part of an actual conversation I had with one of these German pseudo-feminists.
Feminist: My niece is thinking of becoming an engineer.
me: Awesome, how old is she?
Feminist: She!!! why do you assume she identifies with the gender the was born. That is sexist. You musn't assume my niece identifies as a female. The appropriate article is they! you should fix your grammar, you can't speak english.
Me: aight (and left)

The weather. The freaking weather here. Berliners rant and rave about how amazing the summer is, but of course you do when 10 months out of the year it's so miserable and dark that you're suicidally depressed and miserable. If someone punched you in the face for 10 months out of the year and then stopped for two, sure you'd rave about how great those two months are. It's clearly made the Germans from this area into miserable, grouchy, unfriendly sad sacks which doesn't help at all. Neither does the drab look of the whole city, even the non-Eastern bits. This city was supposed to be vibrant and cool, but it's just people moving here to party their faces off and then leave when they want to actually accomplish something meaningful. Come for the summer, then get the fck out.

I think it was summer 2014 - I was in Berlin, brought all my summer clothes and summer shoes. Naturally, it was sunny and kinda nice during the first few days but then... It was freezing, rainy and depressing. I had to buy winter clothes/shoes in the middle of the summer! It was, I kid you not, between 5,7,10 degrees C outside. They seem to not even have the summer either. :/

Growing up here half turkish and half german I was constantly looked down on and made to feel like a piece of crap. People yelling racists things at me on the s bahn. "friends" telling me casually how they dislike turks like it's totally normal. I had longer hair and once this german guy on the s bahn started pointing and laughing then once i got off at my stop started following, continuing to laugh and point. I never felt safe, got mugged multiple times by people on the bus while the driver did nothing. I hate the stupid smoke filled clubs and never knowing if you'll be turned away at the door to dance to repetitive stupid music. I never experienced meeting a warm hearted person, constant darkness and no sense of humor. People always thought i was crazy when i brought it up. So glad that i know there are people who share the same opinion. Something is really off about this place. I live in NYC now and I'm so happy I could kiss the ground when I land at JFK. People think New Yorkers are rude but I bet they've never been to the dark poop hole that is Berlin.

And, what do you hate?Clubbing in Berlin sucks. I'm a seasoned party goer and music producer and engineer and I know my biz because I work with both large and small labels mainly in techno, EDM, house, and others so I know my shit. I have been to many of the largest clubs all the way through underground events all around the world in America and in Europe, everything from burning man to underground raves in undisclosed locations. That's my lifestyle. BUT I FELL FOR THIS SCAM CALLED BERLIN. I'm from Boston and I was told at the entrance of clubs I look "too Italian" to enter, what the hell, what is this? Gangs of New York? Bostonians are tough, rude and even racists, hell even I've been racist sometimes but Berlin is a whole different monster. There they drop the n-bomb like it was nothing, they discriminate against everybody that's not German or that's not them, EVERYBODY! and the list can go on but I'll stop right here. But that's water under the river right so I went in to check their crappy clubs and see what the fuzz is all about and all I can say it's a buncha wannabes and losers who pretend to be "cool" and "edgy". By the way, these words I haven't used since third grade. They pretend to be great so that they keep ignoring the fact their city is awful their parties are awful and their DJs lack talent. Because they are no better than Russians doing krokodil and ketamine. Drugs that some of Berliners actually do!!!! Don't eat that Berghain - Sven Marquardt social engineered bullshit. They are using Stockholm syndrome to attract clientele for their business, because they are soooo selective their parties must be great right? wrong. And come on, don't tell me that poop about Berghain not being a business but a non-profit awesome party association, more bullshit, more lies. Berghain musta been great during the early gay parade - Ostgut days but right now is shit, if you fall for their poop and social engineering then you're stupid and you deserve get all your money stolen. And if you do you probably like to do krokodil too. Now I get Felix da Housecat's rant about Germany. If you think this is a criticism about Berghain only then you're wrong, the same poop applies to all crappy clubs in that piece of crap city that's called Berlin. That place is stuck in the past so my advice is, be smart, don't fall for their tricks if you're a serious partygoer - musician - artist - or even if you really value your art and content, but if you suck hard and you like doing scam drugs bad music and cheap whores/manwhores then I guess Berlin is the perfect place for you. Berlin please kill yourself.

I cannot take the superiority anymore... no matter what I do my Berlin "friends" could have done it better and constantly let it be known so. Mostly they have no clue but condescending "advice" is always on the tip of their tongue.
I am a person who is modest, defers to the loudest female genitals in the room and often engages in self deprecating humour... this is not viewed as modesty and an enviable trait here but as weakness???

I'm a Berliner and I often read your comments to have a good laugh- some of your statements here are very accurate and reasonable! However, I guess most of you live in these so-called "gritty" and "hip" areas like Friedrichshain, Mitte(the Eastern part of it), Prenzlauer Berg or even Lichtenberg ... it's no surprise then why you have so many bad experiences here. Despite the hype, these areas are still very much "East Berlin". You don't see that many (some funny quotes from this site) "tattooed ultra-feminist skanks", "racist unemployed losers who are racist on the bus", "anarchists", "pseudo-creatives", "rude geezers from the Plattenbau" in the good and "boring" parts of "Old Berlin", e.g Charlottenburg, Schöneberg, Steglitz, Wilmersdorf etc.

Oh, how I love you
I love you, Berlin
