Anyone can come on here and claim to be a nurse who's 'seen it all'. For the record there are many scientists, doctors and nurses all over the world who have different views on the risks posed by coronavirus and what the remedy or remedies should be. That dialogue was funny despite the seriousness of it all. We wouldn’t have this problem if the greedy politicians would have closed the borders at the start. And I mean every country. But no, at first the thought of closing borders was a crazy idea. They let it spread like wildfire then decided to closed the borders when it was too late. Shorting down all country borders would have had some effect in the beginning but now maybe it’s too late. I would say the world is in trouble big trouble. I believe the delta variant is only the start. If people don’t wake up you will see worse variants in the future. I want to share my experience with a Kr@ut a few months ago, I was walking in a park on sunday. There were many people outside , a jogger runs towards me without change one cm of his position , he almost bump into me and touched my shoulder light. I got serious dilemma. I can apply to get German citizenship in one year. (Just to be able to live and work freely in EU) If I would do this, the downside would be to keep living here for at least two more years. Plus, I really don’t incline to get their citizenship. It would feel like disgrace to myself. This would require me to keep living my current life. (keep working for the same employer)
The second option is trying to move to UK at the beginning of the next year. It’s not certain that I can get granted the visa to move to UK (Skilled worker visa) Apart from this, I need to share my intention with my current employer as I need them to provide me references to be able to apply for UK visa. You know the grumpy Germans. I am afraid that, they would fire me (by finding an excuse) after learning my UK intention. This would mean to lose the opportunity to apply for UK visa. I work in IT and my German skills are not so good( I have studied in Germany in English + have been working in English) If they would fire me, I less likely to get new job
