I got serious dilemma. I can apply to get German citizenship in one year. (Just to be able to live and work freely in EU) If I would do this, the downside would be to keep living here for at least two more years. Plus, I really don’t incline to get their citizenship. It would feel like disgrace to myself. This would require me to keep living my current life. (keep working for the same employer)
The second option is trying to move to UK at the beginning of the next year. It’s not certain that I can get granted the visa to move to UK (Skilled worker visa) Apart from this, I need to share my intention with my current employer as I need them to provide me references to be able to apply for UK visa. You know the grumpy Germans. I am afraid that, they would fire me (by finding an excuse) after learning my UK intention. This would mean to lose the opportunity to apply for UK visa. I work in IT and my German skills are not so good( I have studied in Germany in English + have been working in English) If they would fire me, I less likely to get new job

This site is hilarious. Never lived in Germany, much less Berlin, so don't have an opinion. Question is, would you say that only Berliners are *like that* or does it extend to:
A) The rest of northern Germany?
B) Southern German (south of the River Main)?
C) Other German states, such as Austria?
