the whole world is being gentrified tho. Everything is expensive for artists. So where do we go? I feel this is the whole reason people come to Berlin. But that has made Berlin what it is in a way, and it’s attracted the rich kids. So now what? And then people say Lisbon but I don’t want to go there, because I need ideas elsewhere that won’t become like Berlin. Something smaller, in a safe country please which is good for lgbt. And you know person on here who is anti lgbt please don’t comment because I need somewhere to go.
every time ive been to my local swimming pool there's been a reason why i cant go in or my ticket is wrong. It says opening hours until 10pm online but apparently its kassenschluss at 9 and out of the pool 9:30. And the other day the 10er karte wasnt valid as its the weekend and due to corona things have changed. These xenophobic ossi sh1tfaces need shooting. Its like they purposely want to make your life hard and ruin your day.

EVERYthing is horribly designed. Maybe Bauhaus is half-ok. That is it. The flag...ugly. The passport...ugly. Eww that nasty, evil eagle. The churches...ugly. The monuments...ugly. Statues...you got it...ugly.
Their dress sense... where did that go? Their hair...umm....drab.
Sense for colour... zero. playfulness...zilch. bank cards... boring. Train design... that yellow-yolky shade...ewww. To match the orangey-yellow rubbish bins.

Hey if you are thinking of coming to Berlin and see all the fun things in the city available make no mistake, once you start living here and run out of savings you will not be able to afford them. That’s right, when they tell you your salary be prepared to lose 40% in taxes, spend the rest on rent, bills, fines and food and if you’re lucky new clothing not from Humana. So all those fun things you see? Notice how everyone sitting in the fancy restaurants are german? Notice how the heads of any companies are german? Notice how all the expats pass through the city?
And the expats who stay and make money well most are living at the poverty level and they don’t hire Turkish for many companies even tho Turkish have been in Berlin for 70 years and speak fluently german. Or what, you really think they aren’t so racist ? Look at any company, everyone is white

I have seen it on many occasions.
Example: work related, looking for a new colleague. A black guy interviewed as well. My German colleague was extremely awkward to him, said he cannot feel comfortable next to black people. Although he was cool, educated, nice and frankly, kind of overqualified, he didn’t get the job because of his skin colour.
German guy I kind of dated, watching a movie, sexy nude African woman pops on the screen. My reaction “wow, she looks good!” His reaction: “She’s black”
Racists are a major turn off and they are very. Sometimes I think they do not even acknowledge how racist and bigoted they are, as when you have a conversation they start with the eco, bio, communist shit.

From my own observation it seems that they are either self-employed aka have their own businesses, work in the medical field and etc. But apparently discrimination against Turks in German schools is common " It has also been found that teachers discriminate on non German sounding names and tend to give worse grades just based on names. The studies showed that even though a student might have had the exact number of right and wrong answers, or the exact paper, the teachers favour German names".

I've managed to go my whole life without knowing the exact smell of my own sh1t, until I moved to germany. Somebody should tell these brilliant engineers that a bathroom doesn't actually HAVE to smell like sh1t and piss!! They seem to like it!

German reasoning is that if something is bad then it is actually good because 1. medical reasons or 2. environment-friendly. There are no other justifications allowed and of course nothing in Germany is actually bad.
I have also heard the poop shelf medical examination thing but 1. who the hell knows what infectious poop looks like and 2. am i to believe that these toilets were all installed 150 years ago?
Maybe ask a German if their poop is infected . You make a good point. Can’t you see in the water the colour? What diseases are we looking for anyway? How often do we look? How do we look? Seems like they probably just like dissecting it, like anything else in life.

Let me get this straight. Millions of Gastarbeiter came to Germany from Italy and Turkey and that still wasn't enough to keep wages flat into perpetuity. Then they reunited and added another several million low pay workers to Germany and that wasn't enough either. Then they opened up EU borders so 400 million other Europeans could potentially come to Germany. That STILL wasn't enough so they let 1.5 million refugees into Germany. That STILL wasn't enough so now you can get a work visa for unskilled labor? What the hell did I just read?
Whenever I see "German university education" related posts here I laugh so hard because I exactly experienced the same things.
My master degree was in English and whole master program felt like an English class. All I had to do was writing 10 pages of papers to pass the classes with some trivial exams or 10 mins presentation. Seriously nothing more.
University education is free in Germany because this type of education does not worth any single penny.
How come they are not then proficient in their jobs if that’s the purpose?
Oh wait. I know, because whatever you learn in theory does not apply 99% in practice and at the end of the day it’s you using your brain and applying that knowledge that should do the trick.

A LONG time ago before I moved here I read some long-ass blog post by a "German engineer" about everything he hated about America. One of the things he went on and on about was defamation lawsuits and how in America you can sue people for defaming you. The guy was completely ignorant of Germany's much more extreme insult laws. Fine, whatever I thought. But he also complained about how outlets in the US will spark a little when you plug something in and was like "and in Germany our electricity is safer and therefore there's never a spark". There's no spark because the outlets here are recessed. And since the voltage in Germany is twice that of the US, anyone who has even the most rudimentary understanding of electricity (I would expect an engineer to know a little at least) would know that it will arc twice as far. Long-winded illustration of how Germans don't know anything about anything except their tiny little compartmentalized area of expertise. Worked really well for them during the holocaust.
because im an engineer (electrical) and know pretty much zero about other types whereas i think in the uk they do a general engineering course in the bachelors and you specialise in the last year or sth. Saying that they cant really know much about e engineering in comparison to people from german universities
