I had a big salad from the buffet today for €1.50, very rarely over €2.00, very delicilous and healthy soup for €2.75, transport fares are ridicullusly cheap, accomodation, you guessed it, much cheaper. The food is great, the best kept secret in Europe. Chilled out cities, not too big, not too small, they feel just right, no dog-eat-dog vibe. People actually go out of their way to help you, without even asking them to. "do you know where this street is", reply, "let me walk you there". "Could I have an item on the menu with some changes to it" , reply "sure, no problem, you want a half soup instead of a full one, no problem, you want us to change the music to something a bit more mellow, no problem, you need help to buy a ticket, no problem".
So good to be back with balanced people, and the best thing is, so far, no whining feminists, but I'm sure they are here in their cockroach holes. And by the way, the gay guys don't act like mincing queens and hetero haters.

I've been touring Poland since escaping Berlin a couple of months ago, and now feel almost back to my old self, that was full of confidence, positivit and optimism. Berlin is for losers, get out straight away, just pack your bag and go, give stuff away, sell other stuff and travel light, very light, I have one plane cabin size bag and a small backpack and that's iy, but it's plenty. Just Do It, Go and everythiung will work out again. Poland is great, the people are friendly and helpful and it's super cheap. It even has a healthy vegan restaurant thing happening. Don't take Berlin Poles as the norm, they are much different to the drunken, loud, moronic Poles in Berlin.

Anyway, The cab driver started barking in bad German asking us to explain how the match worked. We said several times in german we don't know how it functions. He wouldn't move the car, just sitting there shouting at the app on his phone and us.. asking us to explain it. I said in German we are the customers and he needs to be taught by his company. He again grumpily asked us to explain. We tried to explain what we thought the app function was. this was 2 in the morning - we were tired and had been drinking. I've seen something like 3 or 4 interviews with him and the interviewer asked him about his diet in every single one unprompted. He seemed kind of tired of explaining it and in every interview he said it's not for everyone. I think in one of them he said it's something you probably can"t do forever.

There is some really weird guy working in one of these stores where I live, that sell all the "junk". It took me a while to figure this guy out but he always does the opposite while appearing all playful or maybe he thinks he is playful. When you buy cigarettes and not add "pack" he would always "conclude" it's tabacco. One time I came in there with a pizza, carrying it, looking for some icecream and he f.ucking asks me "Should I hold your pizza? :)" all seeming playful. But it's just sick. I figured I actually made sure it looks like I can manage because he always talks something and that's why he said it. Now I ignored him but back then it felt like I was bluffing (or maybe just withholding what not belong there in the first place). He seemed confused about it or afraid. Other time he comes from the backroom with a tea "Nonono that's mine" :)" Always confusing the heck out of everyone. Another time I want to buy a pen. I ask: Do you have any penS? His reply: You mean for writing something now? Now I did play him back by going with it (not fighting the feel of confusion: Noo..not for now...No, sorry we don't have..Oh, too bad ( I really wanted some) then: not even a pencil? ..No, sorry (He had to act hard there at this point, seemed bit sweaty)) but realized that only later. You know, it disconnects you cause you feel he lies but can slip. Everybody always seems to be really getting along with him and yet something just off about it. Overall I noticed that with quite a few turks. It's just not sane normal interactions. And somehow he seems harmless but only when you get his quirks, maybe wants to connect to others but it can this set you off when you don't notice it. I mean it is just sick but to him it might be playful. Effectively this is serious gaslighting.
I mean I don't think it is good to play him back. I think the normal feel is: Could you just stop that?! Feels more angry cause it's irritating. And if something feels irritating chances are it's him and it's not about overplaying or withholding it because that not goes in line with how it feels. Would be interesting if anyone made similar experiences. You know it sounds like nothing much at first sight but not so. If the left is so tolerant then why were all of the AfD election posters around here ripped down within 24 hours? Why is at least one AfD office vandalized pretty much every day of the week? I have never seen a Grüne or Linke poster lying on the ground or covered in paint . To be honest AfD doesn't even seem that far right if you read through their party manifesto and don't just rely on facebook memes. When did these people become so sanctimonious and authoritarian? I took a couple of friends to Dresden and we arrived on the night they have the weekly march. My friends wanted to talk to them about their concerns and came away saying how articlute and logical they all were, not to mention rational and friendly. When I told them the left hate them, one said some very wise words "yeah, well that makes sense".
Poland is the place to be, no multi-kulti, a pure mono-culture, easy going, friendly and very creative and they want to keep it that way, and I don't blame them. Multi-kulti is a tool by the 0.000001% to keep everyone poor, by shipping cheap labour around the world, to keep everyone's wages down. The Poles are not racist, they love to travel to other cultures, they are repectful to tourists, they just don't want them living permanently in their own backyards.
Some cities in Poland are very nice, underrated, and will hopefully remain that way, but the Polish are too much the opposite. Too religious, too intolerant, too xenophobic (like, if you're Polish, they will treat you like an outsider even if you have the same color of skin), the women are very cold. Czechs are a bit better, neither excessively socially liberal nor excessively xenophobic and intolerant but they are still socially cold and their only real city is like a theme park overflowing with tourists. Every country and city has its own positives and plenty of negatives unfortunately.

Am I really lucky as fwck? I am not German, don’t speak the language but it still takes me little time to find jobs here in my actual field. And no, I don’t have special skills or technical abilities. And no, not talking about bar jobs. Jobs that are career centric and pay.
Someone complained about the job market being awful and going to trillion interviews without actually going nowhere. But then again, have their ever wondered that maybe the problem is that the’re not employable?
Some come with crazy request, complain about jobs without having the job yet, and talk about their personal objectives and desires and cool life in Berlin when asked questions. I mean, that’s nice to know about someone, but if you’re too centric on wanting a job that fits exactly unrealistic expectations, you won’t get it. Really. A bad attitude is taking you down no matter how skilled and capable you are. And most of the complainers are too much of this type. Don’t expect jobs if you’re not flexible and willing to meet half way, emit pretentions in your application or bluff yourself.
I literally saw someone for my team that said it was a senior while working alone and I was wondering who he was senior to (in a job he had for a year when he was 20) and that actually has poop loads of experience in our field (he never did the job) and talked about feeling the vibe and energy of people and how that drives him, and speaks up when he feels something is unfair.

The job market is really out there. I am struggling to find someone, and I don’t. In this world of unemployment should be easy, but that’s the thing: Most are just not appealing to be employed. They don’t open and adjust to jobs, and it’s funny how they think exactly the opposite about themselves.
Is the job really a career job? Does it pay more than a median German income? I agree that jobs in Berlin are somewhat easy to come by, but only if you are content earning around 2K per month, which after tax is quickly approaching poverty line wages. If you have any aspirations for leading an adult life in Berlin (driving a car, one day owning property, saving for retirement) then good luck with the current job market where you're competing with 8% official unemployment (real unemployment is surely 10% or more).
OP here. Yes, the job is career centric, as there’s a special specific to it that, and I do earn more the German median income.
As said before, maybe I am super lucky somehow, or maybe I am just realistic.
I do have to admit: I have the working experience that I count on, but some years back when I started, I would probably accept a job low paid (which I did) so that I can earn the experience.
It is normal. A lot of young people here are inexperienced, job hopping or unrealiable, but expect things...
