Job market is tough. Almost had to take a Job in Berlin. Luckily I was able to avoid it. I understand that many people are forced to be in Berlin for its great low paying jobs. I think you have to mentally make the decision to leave and never return there for things to work out for you elsewhere.

So I just entered a tram (M17) and the moment I entered I saw a flying empty energy drink bottle hit the ground outside the tram, followed by a loud burp and someone saying: "BOOOM". I turned around and saw a group of 3 spoiled Germans (in their 20s) giggling and laughing while everyone else in the tram was watching them in disgust... F*ck this shithole!

To bad it's been hijacked by racist German or expat trolls on here. You know, those cowards female dogs who hide behind a keyboard and down vote everything. Yeah, yeah I know you will down vote this but you secret racist are still cowards. Well, guess what? You are in luck! The law protects you racist from being killed on site so thank the law, pussies!

Here's something weird.
I sometimes go into a so-called 'anarchist' cafe to have a coffee and use the WiFi and most of the people working there are kind of nice,, but all the gays and lesbians are hetero-phobes and the strangest thing is that if you want something slightly different to what their menu says, like a little less coffee, they almost explode with rage, the reason I say it's very strange is that I thought gays were meant to be against hate and that anarchism was about no rules, but whenever I go to a non-'anarchist' cafe, they never freak out about wanting something to my individual taste. Living here is like living in Alice's Wonderland.

Get out before you end up in a lunatic asylum in a padded cell.

What is the best way to recognise German mentality today? Look at the colors of cars in all German cities! The colours are the basic pillar for the determination of personality during psychological tests! Black, white, gray, black, white, gray, black, white, gray. Germany is black white-gray country!

I wasted 2 years living in Berlin, most of the time sick either in hospitals or on my bed unable to hang out with friends. The reason: after 2 months being in Berlin, i met a doctor who gave me a wrong medicine and insisted on using them until I had several attacks.
That's not all: my university (Freie universität Berlin) promised a lot of things but they didn't do shit. I had to sleep in the street and neverreceived any help when I needed it. After 2 years I came back home broke, sick and upset and full of stress.

I know that! I've experienced something similar in Berlin. Not only people on the street but also doctors are here actually ignorants. I got beta-blockers on panic attacks. The doctor felt a rash when I complained. If I hadn't been my partner, I could have committed suicide.

A year ago I arrived at the invitation of one company to Berlin. The company promised me a job! We were in telephone contact, they saw me live on the internet and they made a job interview with me. Everything looked very good until I arrived on the agreed day. On the site they asked me what kind of apprenticeship I have and I replied that I have two colleges of commerce and social law. Well, they told me it wasn't enough and they didn't give me the job! They told me I wasn't skilled enough! I asked: Pardon, is there any nasty joke or what do you mean? I drove 1800 kilometers to your city because you promised me a job, you've been with me for two months in contact on the Internet, you have requested a million handouts, so what the hell is going on?! Well and it told me that I do not have it: Ausbildung! It is said to be the whole of the European Union. I worked in Spain in two places and in Italy and Sweden, and nobody wanted this. Germany is probably a separatist country! Or? I thought it would somehow solve it but I just lost a lot of money and time here unnecessarily. After a year here I am psychologically finished, and I am most involved in local bureaucracy and idiotism! I feel like a little child whom parents have put in children's home. What Ausbildung do you have? I have two colleges and ten years of practice in tourism! No, that's not enough, here you are in Germany! I'm leaving here for the last money, and I'm afraid of what's next, because I don't even have a lease in my country. Such an inhority! Bastards!!! The company still said that I should enjoy Berlin and that they are not interested in me. So I'm enjoying Berlin and I'm afraid to go out in a broad daylight, because it's extremely dangerous here. People are here on drugs or eat antidepressants or what?! The Germans are looking for a workforce abroad and when you finally arrive in Germany, they will throw you away??? What??? :(((

Yesss, that sounds about right regarding the attitudes of Germans in Berlin. These people play a lot of physiological games with people from the outside. Only head games that they understand and nobody else understands at all. It makes them feel good to treat people in the way they do. A lot of people fall for the trap of coming here only to have your career and dreams destroyed by these people. Then they say after they have taken everything from you, ok, you can leave Berlin now. With noting! The rest of Germany help keep Berlin afloat. Now what other capital you know needs support from other states? The rest of Germany is doing good and you can find a good job working with ok Germans but normal but ok. You come here and you see all these people looking in trash bins and picking up bottles. Also, these people are liars and thieves! Don't trust anything what Germans, in general, say at face value. I had to learn the hard way but if they tell you something then get it in writing for. GET IT IN WRITING!!!!!!! These people will lie to your face and use you up for their own benefit.
I'm sorry you trusted them and came all this way. These people are evil in nature my friend.

SO so sorry you had to go through this... Sounds somewhat similar to my experience, not completely equal, but similar. This society really tries to complicate everything and requires a separate Ausbildung for everything... But then if you already have a university degree from a different country, they will tell you it's not enough and you need to do another 3 year Ausbildung. There's a huge lack of teachers in Berlin, from daycare age to high school level and they really could need any help. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in the USA (in Sociology and Education) and also worked with children in various settings. I love working with kids so much! Since living here I feel so demotivated... I applied for several teaching jobs (preschool, aftercare, daycare,...), I went to the Senat, I speak German and yet they told me to do an Ausbildung for 3 years in order to work in that field. And yet they have such a lack of teachers... no wonder, if they make it so complicated... Seems like people here (Germans) who work with kids, often don't like kids at all, but they have the right to work, just because they have the appropriate German Ausbildung... When I tried to apply at a daycare, I explained my situation and background and the boss lady said: "Tja, wir koennen ja nicht jeden einfach daher gelaufenen nehmen..." I earned my BA from a public Ivy university and yet I feel like a total loser here... Thanks Germany!!
