I have spotted someone from the Czech Republic a few times in this chat. I wonder if people in CZ behave better than people in Germany? Personally, I would say no! I lived in Prague for two years, but I also lived in the Year of London and in New York and I was in Washington for a while. I have to confess that I enjoyed the city of Washington. Yes, people in Berlin are probably very hostile, or maybe they just look like it. I'm going to leave Berlin because I've had nothing nice here in a year and a half. It seems to me that in Berlin I experience far more stress than in New York. It's really weird coming. Why don't I know that. Perhaps I would recommend local people to be less paranoid. But I would also recommend that people in the Czech Republic and London be less paranoid. I wonder why people nowadays are so strange? Similarly aggressive people like Berlin are the people of London. Personally, I would have stopped offending the Germans because they are not just Germans who behave strangely. When I lived in Prague, I suffered from an incredible loneliness and with the local people there could not normally talk and when you wanted to go out with someone, so no one had ever had time. Stop offending the Germans, because this problem is perhaps more global. People have stopped weighing each other. This problem is not only for Germans!

Post Author: I do not want to ban anyone else's opinion and I would like to say that in Berlin I feel hostility and disdain among people. If the local style is just like that, I really don't understand it and I look forward to leaving here after the new year and forgetting this town. I don't want to insult anyone because of everything, and I won't insult the Germans. I read here about people who lost everything in Berlin. It's gonna be awful. Yes, I think Berlin is really awful but London wasn't much better five years ago. I think insulting all the Germans is also stupid. In any case, it is a matter of Germans that they cannot behave nicely either to each other. I don't have any nice experiences from Berlin. Unfortunately. It was utterly wasted time here. I was born near Venice in Italy if you're interested in where I come from. ;)

Enough time has passed since this happened so I can write it here now. A few months ago I walking home at night from Alexanderplatz at like 9 or 10 pm and when you go up the stairs towards Alexa I saw some scraggly little teenager/20-something German drunk as hell and pissing in the corner. freaking sick of retards like this, I slammed his face into the wall and everyone just looked but said nothing. The guy was really mad but too freaking retarded to do anything. He got piss all over his pants and sneakers and I just casually walked away as he tried to put his penis away and figure out what to do. The only bad part is that I'm sure he's gonna describe this to his friends (or probably parents as I doubt he lives alone) as an encounter with a crazy person who attacked him for no reason. Seriously considering carrying pepperspray to broken these krauts up even more easily.

When someone in public masturbates, you'll have to tolerate it, because this is perfectly normal in Berlin. This is what the Germans like! Then, when the Germans start doing things abroad and someone breaks their noses, the Germans still feel bad because they just think they can behave like they are at home. I know a lot of similar cases from Prague!!!

I made a trip to the island of Usedom which is less than a 3-hour drive from Berlin. It's a nice place, but sadly it's full of German rich people here, and most importantly, there are those from the capital city. Today I had a very unpleasant experience with local people. There are terribly bad people in Germany! When I get back to my country, I don't think I'll ever treat German tourists nicely. I'm getting really mentally ill from Germans!

She said it was indirect, so I kind of get it, if you subsidize wages for companies, they can compete better in the global marketplace, because they have lower costs and then say "hey look, it's the German economic miracle at work".

German wages are already pretty low keeping them somewhat competitive. If you read the article the measure is aimed at the long term unemployed meaning that no company wants to hire them anyway for various reasons (knowing this page there will be cries about moochers). It also mentions that jobs will be created around maintaining parks and roads besides suggesting social work places like for religious institutions or Caritas as they're obviously more likely to have the patience and the will to take on the unemployable. This all doesn't smack of giving such an edge to companies exporting globally but more of a center left effort to get people off the dole and into any kind of work (with an emphasis on local and community) eventually reducing the cost of keeping them on benefits.

The article says the employers, which include religious institutions (which already have too much leeway in not adhering to labor laws) and Caritas are happy about the funds and that new jobs will be created in roles such as park maintenance and agriculture (by the way, the only industry in Europe that has been powerful enough to secure funds from the EU budget) but both of these statements are just conjecture on the part of the author. There are no restrictions on the industry in which employers operate and of course the SPD and the (and I honestly mean this as neutrally as possible) liberal media like Zeit Online aren't going to use Volkswagen, Zalando and Osram as examples of beneficiaries. There are still plenty of no-skill jobs that need to be done in Germany and big corporations would be stupid not to exploit this.

  Anonymous wrote:

I think you misread bauhof as bauernhof so it doesn't really mention agriculture. I can see why you'd see the social work part as conjecture since it's part of a separate sentence after the 'quote' from the CDU guy but it can also be read as part of continuing relaying what that person said (the paragraph also ends with references to the CDU views) since it fits the context and how the CDU sees the religious institutions and Caritas. It also mentions they pay more than minimum wage.

I agree that die zeit is on the conservative side and won't necessarily highlight how big business would benefit but I also think you're overestimating the need for no skill jobs, like for example car production is near fully automated and there's some skill, even if not much, to work a sht job at Zalando. Those positions would be filled if they really need them to be since they're by definition low paying and many can do them, it's hard to imagine business waiting around for this so they can start signing 5year minimum contracts as part of the conditions. It's easier for example to have healthy and young eastern Europeans on Werkvertrag that you can get rid of if need be, lacking rights etc. I'm not saying there won't be any businesses possibly taking advantage(if anything my guess would be that smaller businesses might) I just don't see how a bunch of handicapped and/or longtime out of work people with no hard skills are going to be such a massive contribution to productivity that's probably also why the suggestions run along community and social work. Germany is lacking apprentices and skilled labour and has 'stocked up' on the young low/no skill people and is struggling (for many reasons) already to find appropriate work for them.

People that call themselves “free spirit”. You’re a free spirit when you get read of your flesh and bones case, therefore dead. Meanwhile, regardless what drugs you put in you, tattoos on you or whateveros, you’re still as humanly as possible. You need to eat, sleep, poop and travel in plans and trains. Your spirit needs money, hence a job. Maybe that’s sad and depressing, but get a darn reality check. These superficial ones have no idea how trapped you are when you cannot afford food, roof over your head etc.
One of the most disgusting scene I’ve seen was a bunch of Western backpackers “street performing” in Bangkok to get money for their trips. Ungrateful f*ckers. Free spirit should be called “Entitled male genitalia that knows no struggle”.
Also, bunch of ho-bags acting Yogi and tantric and love spreading. No, honey.. You’re a ho that doesn’t like to be called a ho, so you act like a liberated superior being to hide you hoeness under it. I respect prostitutes more than these hippie scums. At least they’re owning it transparently. Plus, they’re smart enough to charge for it.
Nonetheless, we all die one day. Too bad some make nothing out of their existence on Earth.

Germany actually treats sex offenders, especially in political positions, the exact opposite. Remember old lefty Edathy? Some high ranking politician tipped him off so he could disappear while his "trial" concluded that he couldn't be punished. The German left and greens especially have a rich history of supporting depraved sexual abuse, like sex kindergartens and the like. Do 10 minutes of research and you'll see. Between 2000 and 2007 a manifesto of child abuse was published by the Federal Agency for Civic Education (an agency with a name so ridiculous it couldn't exist in any language other than German) called "Körper, Liebe, Doktorspiele", written by a leftist nut, was pushed onto parents and suggested they "cuddle" their children's genitals. Thankfully, before she became completely braindead thanks to CDU affiliation during the past 3 years, Ursula von der Leyen had the BPB stop pushing that filth with taxpayer money. Oh, and do I even need to mention which German political party gave Berghain 1.2 million Euros in state subsidies to make Berlin the sex dungeon capital of the world?

At least the U.S. has due process and judicial standards unlike Germany where sexual crimes are just ignored and swept under the rug.

One man was so severely beaten parts of his skull could be seen, according to the worker’s account.
