Germans. The way they think the world sees them. They think people still believe in German quality. What quality product has come from Germany in the past 50 years? They think German engineering is still a positive thing. The only impressive German engineering in yhe last 30 years was the way they engineered diesel motors to circumvent environmental standards across the world. And then they are too dumb to understand the concept of fraud since "American SUV's". The way they call themselves "Land der Dichter und Denker". What relevant piece of literature has come from Germany in the last century?

Working with the East Germans is like working with young children. I work with a typically passive aggressive person. Today I did not last and I started to defend myself physically. When the little boy saw that he had no witnesses around, so he'd rather run away! Local people like to provoke verbal conflicts, even though the adversary makes it clear that they will no longer tolerate their aggression. The poor little boy was afraid it might end badly for him! They are locked in some kind of Communist time-warp, their parents have probably been pumping their heads with all kinds or rubbish about the evil capitalists and to the girls about the "Patriarchy", you know, the one that's under your bed, in your fridge, on the tram etc. The conversation would go like this.

Don't fall for their line that when you have a baby they are willing to take on the financial responsibilities so that you can give the baby the time it needs to bond and feel secure, that is a ruse they use to make you a slave in the kitchen while they go out to long lunches, smoke cigars, drive around in luxury cars, hire yachts with lots of dancing girls to entertain them and generally just behave like the capitalist pigs they are, they don't really care about their babies, they are heartless, insensitive, violent, sexist misogynists.

Berlin taxi drivers.
Used the Mytaxi app and selected the Mymatch option or something, meaning it finds others to share your cab with (I presume though don't know exactly how it works). Anyway, The cab driver started barking in bad German asking us to explain how the match worked. We said several times in german we don't know how it functions. He wouldn't move the car, just sitting there shouting at the app on his phone and us.. asking us to explain it. I said in German we are the customers and he needs to be taught by his company. He again grumpily asked us to explain. We tried to explain what we thought the app function was. this was 2 in the morning - we were tired and had been drinking. I am not willing to give a lesson in app functionality when it is your bl**dy job to know what tariffs and deals you offer you MORON. I told him again he needs to ask his company to teach him. He aggressively projected HIS problem onto the PAYING customer. Sound familiar? Berlin, du bist so UNWunderbar!
What the hell is with this myth about tradespeople in Germany making decent money and being respected? I keep seeing idiotic 40+ expats make this argument in every forum/group I have seen about Germany. Tradespeople here only make "good money" if you consider 26,000 EUR per year good money. And no one in Germany is respected if he/she hasn't spent at least 6 years in a German university.
Any opinions about Dresden ?
I believe Leipzig has the best reputation of the former East German cities, but I would get people's opinion on the Toytown forum. If you're into far-right politics, maybe Dresden is good as it seems to be a popular city for that type, but I think that would be a dumb reason to move there.
Besides that, you should consider Hamburg, Cologne, and Munich. They all have their own pros and cons but seem to be the most popular cities after Berlin. Munich may be too neat, orderly, and conservative (compared to Berlin) to the point it may seem boring and it's also the most expensive. Hamburg has even crappier weather than Berlin and may be harder to find work in than Munich or Berlin if you're not fluent in German.
This city can drive even the most red-pilled individual to feel depressed.
Why are Germans so... mean? I hate to sound so childish, but I've never encountered such harsh, heartless people (men and women).
I don't know whether I believe in a higher power or not, but I do know that Berliners (and Germans, let's be honest) are one of the most racist (this is coming from a harsh critic of the immi-crisis that led to many of my Lefty-indoctrinated yet very intellectually limited classmates to disassociate from me "lol").
I would like us to make a group for people here. Not a poop "safe space" but somewhere we can just go to meetup; shoot the shit, and be around normal people (for lack of a better word).

Not allowed to be balanced in Berlin, you have to be doing something extreme and make sure that it is in order with the rules. Don't hold your breath to experience something spontaneous here. Always carry a diary and never do anything on the spur of he moment and then you'll fit in rather nicely. Oh! and of course, don't deviate across the Left line in the sand.
There are several reasons. For one, they are oblivious. They don't understand nuance. They'll never understand the difference between "Would you mind opening a window" and "Open the window right now".
And they have no self-discipline outside of the realm of their pissing contests to see who can go the longest without showering, use the least amount of electricity and consume only Magerquark and Haferflocken for extended periods of time.
And they lack one cultural norm that has somehow developed almost everywhere else in the world but not here: both the source and the target of aggression lose face, especially for unimportant crap.
And, of course, they lack any warmth whatsoever. They've been forced to embrace collectivism/socialism for so long that they've fallen to the moral hazard. They don't care about you or me or each other because that's the government's job.
I really hate it here. I am a strong person but even those with thick skin become weak at times.
People also generally would have described me as resilient. In fact, I remember one guy saying I seem like the kind of person you could just drop in the middle of a desert and I would just deal with it, not because I'm super tough but because I don't give a damn. But years in this city have drained all of my motivation, emotions and soon probably also life. F U C K this place.
Really uniformed comment. I come from an ex-communist country and it's nothing like this. Actually real communism is more capitalistic than the German "capitalism". Try going South, Bavaria for a change where everything closes at 8pm if you're lucky, mostly at 6pm. Would never have this anywhere else in Europe.. maybe in extremely remote mountain villages.
Rudness in public transport! People that keep their backpack on their backs in Ubahn. Take it off! Hold it in front of you. Stop hitting others with your crap filled garbage, you darn camel! Also, no on ever waits for people to get off the trains first. They just bulk in-out or if you’re waiting to get in, some ogre might simply cut you way. Some people don’t know how to behave in public spaces & it’s darn sociopathic & passive aggresive
Oooooh yes, spot on. London by contrast is more crowded yet it flows because people are much more socially aware and courteous. Yes, it isn't perfect there or other big cities but Berlin's plebs need educating on basic manners in the public sphere. Selfish and inconsiderate brats... or just plain ignorant.
God damn, I feel myself slowly, but confidently mutating into a BERLINER. I came to Berlin being positive, open, warm and happy person with rather good social skills. Now I dress all black, am a sociophobe, hate everybody, is alone and depressed, that's how it ended. My god, what happened to me :(
