That's the point, not to shut up. If some expats have faced discrimination they MUST speak up. I'm not talking about racism, discrimination and hostility in a particular areas, but when dealing with clerks, neighbours, employers, colleagues etc. Of course not "all Berliners/Germans are assholes" what a stupid, defensive comment.

The worst are the loud young Arab and Turkish guys, WTF is their problem, they disgust me. Also why does the U8 attract so many mentally impaired people, I feel for them, but it's hard to travel with such chaos, forget about relaxing on the U8.
Everyone in the media keep praising Germany's low unemployment rate, but keep reminding us that the wealth gap is bigger than ever before and socioeconomic mobility rate has slowed down.
In Germany and especially in Berlin, you get lot's of mini jobs that pay so poorly that you would not be able to survive here.
The health insurance here is also not perfect especially when it concerns expats and freelancers. Just because one sees lot's of construction of luxury apartmens in Berlin, it does not mean the economy here is doing so well. Unemployment rate is at the lowest but many younger people including native Germans are still stuck working mini jobs or internships that pay 400-600 euros a month.
Berlin reminds of third world cities where such inequality between the poor and the rich is on display. I can walk 500 meters from Mitte to wedding and see huge differencea in infrastructure and homelessness. This is not what a reasonable and successful city looks like.
This is because a lot of new glossy housing projects in Berlin are for people who don't necessarily work here during the week: they commute (ex:hamburg,..), or it might just be a secondary home, also some apartments could be for rent. Others work and live here, but they work for international companies outside of Berlin. So because of the absence of local companies and industries there is big unemployment and lack of public investements in city infrastructure (some bezirke really look like nothing changed since the fall of the wall - others with a good budget from tourism are of course upgraded, like mitte.)
Berlin has too many poop artists, designers, mixologists, baristas, startup wannabes, curators, fashionistas... for the gov to even consider moving professional jobs to this God forsaken place, they'll need to get real and up skill. Until then, they can enjoy pouring coffee and making lollipop stick sculptures for €400 a month.
I think there is nothing wrong with the above jobs, the biggest problem is the culture here, its just not cool, being cool and funny here is not considered an asset, thats why you see a lot of weirdos who can't connect with people because they do not have those basic human qualities aka being nice, cool, chill, sarcastic, romantic etc.

Germans have a long history of blaming fire on others. Of course the Vietnamese started the fire themselves. Just like the refugees are all to blame for the fires in refugee centers (even when the fires happen before refugees have been moved in and even when groups of locals are present at the fire when authorities arrive and actively prevent firefighters from performing their duties).

There is a little asian shop not far from where I live. I walk by it everyday when I go to work. Today I saw that it's like the 10th time they had their display window broken in the last 12 months. Yes, this makes me laugh everytime, especially the recent articles in german newspapers that say something like "Angela Merkel: The New Leader of the Free World". I have never seen a more un-free or conformist people than I see here. They have so many regulations, even down to what they can name their children. For these people, freedom means "I'm free to not think for myself, I'm free to never develop as a human person, I'm free from worrying about my job or my health, I'm free to drink beer anytime, I'm free to be rude to other people, ..." etc.
For these people, being free means being free from responsibility. Oh they can go eat curry wurst this weekend and not have to worry about losing their job (it's not easy to terminate an employee here and it can take many months). Theyre free to spend their 20's drinking beer and taking drugs because the State will give them money and training later. Sure, great, total freedom from responsibility.
Except that responsibility is the flip side of power. No responsibility, no power. No power over your life, no power to make decisions, etc.

Why is so hard to find a job in this country ? ( Berlin,Frankfurt, Munich or whatever ) I mean, i am currently doing an internship at the one of the biggest company of the world in London. Unfortunately, i have to come back to Germany soon. ( I was master student previously ) I am looking for jobs, i keep applying. However, so far no success. I have master degree, i have almost one year of experience at the one of the biggest company of the world but i can not even pass shortlisting process.
