Has Berlin gotten better, worse, or no change? I have been here for a long while now and I am not sure. Before I began having to spend a lot of time in the inner city I hadn't realized how gross this place is. I have a feeling I just never noticed before, though. For me it is like someone drew back the curtain one day and I saw the Wizard of Berlin: a middled aged alcoholic German with his d!ck out pissing in public. Since then I only ever see him when I leave home.

I only live there for a few years but once I sobered up I saw the city was kind of pretty bad actually. It’s only good if you wanna party or German. I just don’t really think it’s good for foreigners to live in a long-term kind of situation unless they have some kind of good financial backing or have a specific reason to be located there

Sobering up definitely reveals this city for what it is. Around 2015 I quit almost all alcohol and started spending more time alone. Immediately started to realize this place is a cesspool and that people are only drinking and doing drugs to self-medicate. No coincidence that the Gate to Hell is housed in Berlin.

An English couple have a child. After the birth, medical tests reveal that the child is normal, apart from the fact that it is German. This, however, should not be a problem. There is nothing to worry about. As the child grows older, it dresses in lederhosen and has a pudding bowl haircut, but all its basic functions develop normally. It can walk, eat, sleep, read and so on, but for some reason the German child never speaks. The concerned parents take it to the doctor, who reassures them that as the German child is perfectly developed in all other areas, there is nothing to worry about and that he is sure the speech faculty will eventually blossom. Years pass. The German child enters its teens, and still it is not speaking, though in all other respects it is fully functional. The German child's mother is especially distressed by this, but attempts to conceal her sadness. One day she makes the German child, who is now 17 years old and still silent, a bowl of tomato soup, and takes it through to him in the parlour where he is listening to a wind-up gramophone record player. Soon, the German child appears in the kitchen and suddenly declares, "Mother. This soup is a little tepid." The German child's mother is astonished. "All these years," she exclaims, "we assumed you could not speak. And yet all along it appears you could. Why? Why did you never say anything before?" "Because, mother," answers the German child, "up until now, everything has been satisfactory."

I honestly started to think that Germans enjoy seeing foreign people suffering in Germany in terms of finding flats / jobs, socialising.. If you would glance at the comments on Quora, Reddit etc from Germans, you will see what I mean

It makes my piss boil. The worst are the expats who have "gone native" and take every opportunity to put nee foreigners down. "YOU DO SPEAK GERMAN RIGHT? IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL NEVER GET A JOB, PEOPLE WILL HATE YOU AND YOU WILL BE HOMELESS FOREVER" as if they all arrived here with employment prospects speaking like freaking Goethe.

Oh yeah that’s the thing you feel like you have to learn the language and adjust but you’ll never adjust. Even friends have this problem from Spain. I made friends with people from different European countries and at first I thought it was just cause I was American and people were being xenophobic to me for that. But theyre xenophobia to everybody and less you’re from like freaking the Nordic countries I don’t really think that there is one country that they are not against honestly. They say Middle Eastern‘s trying to use I don’t know Americans British even like their neighboring countries France and Italy so I don’t really understand why they act that way but I mean what can you do. Like it’s just kind of how much do you want to tolerate do you always want to have to be micromanaged by Germans in publicNot like you can’t even insult them because they have that law against insulting people which I’ve dealt with personally. So just feels like kind of your in this jail where the prison guards are the locals In a sense. I don’t really know how to explain it it’s just a bit of a weird place and it just depends like I don’t know how much you have to interact with them. Because if you don’t have to interact with them and you are like not needing Germans for anything then it’s actually an OK place to live but even dealing with I don’t know customer service on the phone company or whatever is pretty bad or your landlord or whatever like I I have had hard times with those people just because I’m not German so I don’t really know life. Not to mention the food is horrible. When I think about some of the food in Germany I want to puke like eating raw pork it’s freaking disgusting. And they don’t flavour anything so I mean yeah good beer and bread but come on. And the fashions are so bad too it’s like what the hell are you wearing like what are you wearing camping gear in the streets you’re not going on a hike. And they don’t shower either so that’s kind of gusting as well. I don’t know there’s just a lot of cultural things there that I don’t really understand such as being cheap. I really can’t stand cheap people like if it’s only a couple euros more for some thing why don’t you just get it or treat someone. It’s like they nickel and dime you so stupid. Everybody wants something for free nobody wants to contribute pay artists or even pay themselves. Because we’re all just on the freaking door so they don’t need to. As well people just look at it like I have enough money to survive and that’s it I have enough money to survive and Berlin and go to parties and that’s it there’s that’s not really the best way to live life. Because then you’re just kind of like in a bubble

Sorry I’m using the speech to text app it should say they’re all just on the freaking dole not door. My point being is I don’t understand why anybody would just wanna be on the freaking dole and then it’s like OK what’s your plan and you know you’re living in a foreign country and you’re wasting years of your life partying and you’re just on the dole.... and then what what are you gonna do after that? it’s like where is the where is the logic in that I mean that’s kind of like the addicts mentality isn’t it. Like I think Berlin is a good place to visit for like four months of the year in the summertime. It’s a good place to go and meet people and like that’s fine. But then the issue is when you get integrated into the system and you have to deal with all the other freaking poop that is the complete opposite of what you’re trying to deal with. So I would just tell people go for four months have a great time you know even you could even do that every year if you were flexible schedule you know. Just don’t move there

Moving will cost you a lot of money, something you cannot make in Pukerlin. You also need to figure out where to stay in your new destination, which is especially difficult if you have no person there to help you out in the beginning

OMG, you poor deluded soul, do you really thunk owning a house in C'berg is going to make you happy in Berlin? I owned my own place for 8 years and my life became more miserable. Here's a hint NEVER, under any circumstances, let anyone in Berlin know you won your own place, you will be treated like a traitor. Trust me on this one, never mention it, just lie and say you have reasonable rent. Yo can sell after living in it for two years, without paying profit tax. Do it, two years is enough to do your head in.

Depends if you have a profession/trade you can work with remotely, i, e. Computer work, etc, or self employed painter, handyman, or do you need a job. If you need a job, you'll need to know the language. If you can work remotely, go to Poland and juts relax, and earn your money from another more affluent country. Sure there's some alcoholic morons there, but 975 of the people if not more are very nice, very peaceful, creative and intelligent. It's my favourite place in Europe. If you're vegan like me, it's a foodie paradise, unWOKE and they have good morals. Also, very cheap. Try Poznan first, it's very close to Berlin, but might be better to get there straight away, or wait until spring next year, you don't want to see a place for the first time in winter. Also Amsterdam, you'll and on your feet there, but the accomodation is very expensive until you get settled. Try to get some help on CouchSurfing.com Otherwise, go back to your home country, get a good job and just travel once a year and have fun. You'll never fit into another culture, you need to grow into the culture in babyhood and school, otherwise you'll never get the nuances of the host country. Where are you from?

Why are they so obsessed with US?

They are obsessed because their shittty media (controlling class) is obsessed with the U.S.

These dopes have no idea how people who aren't wage slaves live. Idiots saying "Zend chur keeds to ze public schule for free" are retarded. A dude making 7 figures isn't sticking his kids in a public school, he doesn't want to live in a street where it's common to see public urination and junkies drugges out on the pavement. At least (as far as I read which wasn't that much) I didn't see anyone say something like "I am a student and live on 800 eur a month and only eat potatoes and quark!!!".
