Prepare for peak German pettiness once Monday rolls around.
OP here: Yes I am aware that we have 2G etc but my trauma from the last 2 years has programmed me to believe the worst in German politicians. I dont want it to happen as much as the next person but when (not if) they fail to see a fall in infections and when (not if) they see the hospitals pushed to the limits, as they are every Winter, they will tighten the screw. You can hear it already in the language they are using.

Hospitals have always struggled in the winter and it doesn’t help that intensive units were cut back.

Your employer can send you a new one. Doesn't really have anything to do with you Anmeldung address. My last employers always sent me mine digitally as a PDF.
You also don't have to file taxes in Germany unless you got over a certain amount of government funds like ALG1 or Elterngeld or if you were a freelancer.
I was a freelancer, so not sure why my accountant is asking for this. I recieved the IBB grant of 5000 and 3 payments of kurzarbeit, I only deposited about 5000 of that, and 500 of my own money. Pathetic I know but it was corona. The aid money was what I used to leave Germany.
I just do not want to meet new people here. It is frustrating and disappointing experience. They all have serious mental health issues, insecurities and project them on you. It is fine, we all suffer from difficulties of life but there should be a solution to this not living here and destroying urself further
I attended some meet up events and met somewone from facebook too but it was not easy at all. I feel you. I know pwople here say it is same poop in every cities in Germany but I got many good friends when I lived in Leipzig. Germans and non germans friends and they were very helpful and still I keep in touch with them. Berlin is really a city so hard to have decent relationship either friendship, partners and colleagues.

Is anyone in this city in an actual meaningful relationship? I see many people have no problem with cheating or getting cheated on or currently in some kind of open sexual relationship. I come from a very conservative country which I wanted a change from but alot of people here seem not right in the head.
Where I am from, you wouldn't consider a street safe of every time you walked down it you encountered multiple junkies shooting up, aggressive teenagers, people pissing off thrle side of the pavement, several drug dealers and at least one beggar. Has Berlin gotten better, worse, or no change? I have been here for a long while now and I am not sure. Before I began having to spend a lot of time in the inner city I hadn't realized how gross this place is. I have a feeling I just never noticed before, though. For me it is like someone drew back the curtain one day and I saw the Wizard of Berlin: a middled aged alcoholic German with his d!ck out pissing in public. Since then I only ever see him when I leave home.
I only live there for a few years but once I sobered up I saw the city was kind of pretty bad actually. It’s only good if you wanna party or German. I just don’t really think it’s good for foreigners to live in a long-term kind of situation unless they have some kind of good financial backing or have a specific reason to be located there
Sobering up definitely reveals this city for what it is. Around 2015 I quit almost all alcohol and started spending more time alone. Immediately started to realize this place is a cesspool and that people are only drinking and doing drugs to self-medicate. No coincidence that the Gate to Hell is housed in Berlin.

It makes my piss boil. The worst are the expats who have "gone native" and take every opportunity to put nee foreigners down. "YOU DO SPEAK GERMAN RIGHT? Oh yeah that’s the thing you feel like you have to learn the language and adjust but you’ll never adjust. Even friends have this problem from Spain. I made friends with people from different European countries and at first I thought it was just cause I was American and people were being xenophobic to me for that. But theyre xenophobia to everybody and less you’re from like freaking the Nordic countries I don’t really think that there is one country that they are not against honestly. They say Middle Eastern‘s trying to use I don’t know Americans British even like their neighboring countries France and Italy so I don’t really understand why they act that way but I mean what can you do. Like it’s just kind of how much do you want to tolerate do you always want to have to be micromanaged by Germans in publicNot like you can’t even insult them because they have that law against insulting people which I’ve dealt with personally. And they don’t shower either so that’s kind of gusting as well. I don’t know there’s just a lot of cultural things there that I don’t really understand such as being cheap. I really can’t stand cheap people like if it’s only a couple euros more for some thing why don’t you just get it or treat someone. It’s like they nickel and dime you so stupid. Everybody wants something for free nobody wants to contribute pay artists or even pay themselves. Because we’re all just on the freaking door so they don’t need to. As well people just look at it like I have enough money to survive and that’s it I have enough money to survive and Berlin and go to parties and that’s it there’s that’s not really the best way to live life. Because then you’re just kind of like in a bubble

Like I think Berlin is a good place to visit for like four months of the year in the summertime. It’s a good place to go and meet people and like that’s fine. But then the issue is when you get integrated into the system and you have to deal with all the other freaking poop that is the complete opposite of what you’re trying to deal with. So I would just tell people go for four months have a great time you know even you could even do that every year if you were flexible schedule you know. Just don’t move there
