Since 2014 Berlin became a shit, and guess why? YOU! Before Was so cool so beautiful to live here, people straight-forward but honest, which I prefer than the all smiles but hypocrite foreigners who landed in Berlin to run away from their poop hole. Again I'm not German, I doubt that a German would comment here, they seem to be above such trait de caractère. Mostly new immigrants who live here are only in Berlin because Somehow Berlin give them a status... But that's all. Other they are empty and F boring. Not only boring but also judgmental. Disgusting. Look do u want Germans to lick your ass, but they are not like you! You lick butt and for sure you are all smiles when you chat with a German or? As I said - HYPOCRITE

Ok yes you are right, every country besides Germany which are many who immigrated to Berlin are fake smiles. So germans are the odd one out, yes all the foreigners from all other cultures must all be wrong and germans must be right. Makes total sense. (That is sarcasm by the way, do you understand that with your advanced societal nuances, or should I just grunt and make weird noises and behave like a barbarian?)

When I see foreigners who are drama queen and freaking offensive I really prefer someone who can handle their emotions. Germans are rude oh my God! This girl being Romanian explains a lot to me. Although I'm curious if she is not German-Romanian from the German minority in Romania. I've notices Germans love to say they are victims and take on identities as it pleases them. I lived 4 years in Berlin and now realised I stayed because I made so many beautiful friends amongst the foreigners. The entire time I went through horrific abuse from Germans who by the way are some of the most xenophobic people I've ever met and truly have extreme hate towards foreigners (which includes Eastern Europeans - they seem to see us as cheap tools to use in picking asparagus but whatever). I am Romanian too btw and have since returned home and was shocked to find this country invaded by expat Germans. They are everywhere and there's a very German ideology that caught on over here. So this Romanian lady sounding German is not at all weird to me anymore... Romania has been slowly colonised by Germany. There's even a German mayor in one of the major cities that is taking very fascist steps towards freaking up the culture over there. Also, us Romanians love to hate ourselves and see German culture as somehow superior and something to strive towards. It's quite sad to see.

I rented out a room to a german at one point and she turned out to be a psycho, a hoarder and when I asked her to leave she decided to squat the place. I lost a lot of money to get her out and I got out of it traumatized. While I was going through all that, every german I talked to couldn’t believe that she was german. They kept insisting that she prob has some sort of migration past as if germans are so pure and perfect and nice. I found out soon after that they actually do this a lot and she was not at all 1 in a million. I left Berlin a year ago traumatized and don’t plan on ever visiting.

Don’t get me started on the whole, ‘well that’s how we are, blunt and we are warm but have a hard shell on’. You mean, rude, mean, cold, psycho gaslighers. And we have to accept that as normal why?

Moved to Berlin after graduation in the hopes of finding a job and "making it". It is the capital, after all.
I didn't know back then that it is a sh1thole.
Spent almost two years barely making enough money for rent and food. All the while trying to find a good job. In the end I almost applied for a job as a dishwasher.
One day I realized that in spite of being fluent in German and holding a degree from a German university I'd never be seen as a person worth of respectful, tactful treatment because Germans are very racist but in denial about it. I came to the realization that I had never been happy in Germany and Berlin was as close to hell as I had ever been. I decided to leave. Quit my jobs, cancelled everything, bought a ticket and flew 10000 back to my home country.

Nowadays I am living in Poland, gainfully employed in the IT field, feeling happy about everyday, meeting tons of friendly people (Poles in Poland are generally very kind and polite) and happy that I didn't stay in Germany. Living in that country is not for everyone. As some Poles have told me "That is not a country."

Time doesn’t pass in a normal way in Berlin. When I think of my time there, I wonder what I was doing with all the time. Because a lot of it had to do with things that wasted my time, such as needless documents, searching for flat, trying to work to scrape by enough money to only survive, so without disposable income couldn’t do the things I wanted, learning a language I could never master or need to use again, being traumatized from random situations....

If you go back home, don't mention hardly anythung about Berlin to old friends. If hey say why did you leave, just say "It's great for a holiday, but not healthy to live in, too many drugs and screwed up people, it's great to be back home, much better here". And leave it at that, if they have more questions, just say "it's too complicated to explain, I just want to pick up from where I left off here". Then never mention Berlin again, just put it behind you.

And don't be like gamblers who chase their losses and try to nut it out here, because they otherwise feel they've wasted all those years, that's a losers game. Just go and never look back, or like Lot's wife, you'll turn into a pillar of salt.
