I never saw a massive implosion in Berlin due to most people under 30 being trustafarians. They were all "photographers" who had top of the range Leicas (saw many M10s and even a film Leica M-A) or designers who made terrible Wordpress sites for friends starting businesses which were gonna fail. None of em and I mean none of em did more than five hours of meaningful work a day. This was ten years ago and sadly, they haven't really changed. They still think everything is expensive and survive on €1.50 Helles.
Imo this is worse than an implosion. They have literally wasted a decade of their lives doing absolute bs when they could've done anything else.

So I have several gay People at work and chat to them every now and then! They all moved here for good, from Italy, Brazil, China! All of them claim in Berlin and only in Berlin they could finally be free, for them its paradise! I told all of them for me it’s the opposite! The thought of placing my John Thomas in another man's sewage outlet makes me shudder. I’m a guy who likes guys and hate that filth ridden city. Being ‘gay’in Berlin (or actually globally as well) is a lifestyle. People identify themselves via their sexual preferences and exploit them. Whilst doing this they also blame others for being prejudice against ‘gays’ although they themselves are a walking and talking prejudice.
Berlin claims to be open-minded but I experienced more hostility here than back in my home country. I don’t feel free here, in fact I feel the opposite. My home country is more conservative, yet, it is a lot more free than this sewer.
funny how people in this city seem to magically have disposable income but are "so poor" and "definetely do not have parents supporting them as adults" and miraculously do not work.
Berlin is a weird place and only place where I have seen adults in their 40s, unemployed, unable to pay their own rent, responsible for their needs and so on... But at the same time principled AF to work a simple job at least...
That being acceptable and accepted.
For me, this is just repulsive, and I find these bugs just worthless human residue, but that’s not allowed to say out loud.

I lived in Berlin from 2012-2015. This is what it had going for it:
- Could rent an ok place for €500 warm
- Could survive comfortably on €1.2k
- Anyone who had any sense worked remotely for US and UK companies so we lived like kings.
The above three benefits balanced out the following downsides:
- Rude population
- Boomers who inhabit a different mental space due to communism
- Crap architecture
- Crap food
- Terrible weather
I mean who in their right mind would move to Berlin now? The real estate is super expensive, the avg job still pays crap and there are hordes of sleaze from the ME who have no education. Sounds like utter hell.

The decision and Date is set: december 1st I am leaving this place after 5 years! Fortunately I have enough savings and gonna travel the world for 3 months just to recover! I am gonna return to my Home country of Switzerland: There is a lot of things I dont like about Switzerland and there Are a lot of similarities to Berlin or Germany! Switzerland is great. Especially outside of the big cities, but even the big cities are wonderful compared to Berlin. Much more expensive but they earn good money there. In country towns you can leave your bike unlocked and know it won't be stolen.
Very well mannered people and very sincere and open-minded, and no I don't mean drugs and sex, I'm talking about open-minded for things that actually matter in life, science, relationships, philosophy conversation, not narcissistic hedonism like in Borelin.
If I could get a work visa, I'd live there in a heartbeat. I also love being around Polish people. But there is no place better than your own country where you get the humour and reference points in conversations. Also great to be around networks of friends and family who will help you with contacts and fair mechanics/tradesmen etc etc.

I met one time someone from Switzerland. Great gal, going through a rough time but still being an open & decent human.

I got out of the German system for running a company, taxes are too high. Applied for e-residency of Estonia, taxes are on a European level, but the way you are charged tax is very different. I.e. if you reinvest money in the company you are not taxed for income tax etc. meanwhile here they suck 0.99 cents for every 1€ you make regardless. Retarded country.
