Imagine living your life like this. So much stress, misery, complaining, envying, hating. Never living for today but planning everything only to find that life gets in the way and you become frustrated. You don’t like your family and aren’t close to them. Your friends are merely activity companions and know nothing about you. The whole society ducks you up and is trying to be structured, as well. Either you become a robot, or you party and take drugs like there’s no tomorrow. There’s no middle ground when you don’t know how to enjoy your life.

The fact that %90 of women look same and they dress up identical. I am not exaggerating. How could this be possible? They would look similar which is somehow understandable but how on the earth they have same taste of fashion?

Don’t bother. Literally, all the women are the same here. Same German personality just different faces. You see a women who is slim, nice hips, nice size breast, pretty face. It’s only after you talk to them and get to know them that they aren’t good people. With their poop personalities that nice body and pretty face is quickly forgot about. Seriously, have some fun and move on. Don’t start a relationship with them or you will be burned in the long run. Germans women and men should only date each other for culture reasons. If you should decide to date her you will find yourself correcting her a lot on simple life lessons. For example, like treating strangers with respect. Go ahead! You’ll see.

Let me actually share on thing I found quite interesting, but yeah it's just a thing. I call it "unspoken rules". For example some day in the past there was a tenseness when I drove with someone and their partner in their car so I felt very good to chat it up a lot. It's not at all something lowely rebellious or so. The idea is that such unspoken rules, noone would actually ever tell you so. So it's like a bluff call but what it actually just is is enjoying oneself. It has something liberating. And it's hilarious too because such is never spoken so it doesn't even exist, while at the same time you know somebody thinks you would gotten it or so. Idk, situations where you feel supposed to rush or something like that. And then another thing that is quite commonly known as for when people say why did you...and then reply: I felt so. What that actually means is that if you feel to Idk what maybe stop walking or whatever but you can't do it because you don't know why so it uneases you. Well, you felt so. Leave it at that.

struggling to find a new city to move to. I need there to be some green space/nature, a higher income, and english speaking. so far I have narrowed it down to LA, NYC, London. I know we cant go anywhere right now because of the pandemic.
My only issue with LA is I worry about the phony/plastic people. I dont like German rudeness, but I also hate passive agressiveness. I consider NYC, but there are a lot of roaches in the buildings (a phobia of mine) if you dont want to pay a top price or cant ...and tehre is not enough green space. London I dont know much about. I have visited a few times. It is certainly the most expensive of all of the cities I have mentioned. It is also close to Berlin so I can come visit friends. I am just not sure if it's the best option.
I feel the most alive in NYC and feel its the easiest for me to meet people. But I worry about it post corona. Im also trying to think about Brexit. If anyone has left Berlin recently please offer your opinion. And dont say I move to a smaller city, because I am trying to weigh out the 3 with the best opportunities for me right now.

Also my need for nature was one reason I moved to Berlin, because if I became stressed I could go to a lake or park to escape the madness. In new york its not really possible for me to do that...

Go to smaller cities. Huge metropolises are not healthy for humans. I'm now living in a big town with 130,000 people and loving it, everything is here and no traffic jams, posers and lefty sheep telling you what you should think and say. Cities are over, they are so last century.

Ok, you hate Berlin but you are talking about moving to LA, NYC or London? You should expand your choice of places. People in LA are the worst and people in NYC are cocky assholes. London is overrated and will bleed you out of money...unless you work in the financial sector. Those places are all poop full of assholes. The best places are the ones less publicized.

I still can't adjust to the fact that not smiling is a sign of respect. I've been told several times "You should be less emotional" (I'm Mediterranean). At the beginning of the pandemic I met plenty of people that weren’t worried that they were suddenly unemployed. This is because they dont have to work. Many of them never have. They move to Berlin, DJ for free for exposure and have their parents pay their way through life until they get some semblance of a Dj “career” together.
Now they are playing free livestreams. Berlin used to be cool. The rich brats flocking to the city turned it into a fuckkking joke but they have no idea, they think it’s sooo cool. I’ve left the city and moving somewhere I can get paid. I can’t take this fuckingg place seriously nor can I take the people in it.

I hate it when Germans give you that vacant, open-mouthed stare when you pass them on the street. With eyes as blank and empty as the windows in a Soviet-era plattenbau.

Not just on the streets but everywhere. The cashier in the supermarket, DM or Rossman. The Airport ticket counter. At your new job, especially when you go on lunch break for the first time. And all the Germans sit and give you that blank stare. When you meet your German girlfriend parents or friends for the first time. It simply just drives me crazy. But, I don’t mean to be rude but we are in Eastern Europe after all. No other Europeans do this weirdo/creepy/serial killer vibe like the Germans. The people here are the true definition of odd. Truly.
