Germans are still going on about how they’re not “like America” even though they’ve well past the one million mark of coronavirus cases which was the same mark months ago when everyone said things were blowing up in the USA. These people have no ability to reflect and think in a linear fashion. They just think about the now.
Why are the African drug dealers so aggressive to women? I’ve been followed home multiple times by men who would not leave when I said to leave, standing right up next to me. This isn’t racist , just wondering how to handle it. Worry I’ll be raped. Is it just because African men don’t see women out in the street alone at night in their culture ? Only happens at night. They don’t seem to get it, I don’t want to talk to them
I left just after Merkel opened the doors. I lived near Gorlitzer park and I thought I was in down town Mogadishu. I got heckled daily and one day I just thought F this, I'm not spending 50% of my income on tax for this treatment.
The one positive effect Berlin had on me is to not suffer fools gladly. Why should Germany be responsible for looking after the 3rd world? answer, they shouldn't. "But but but reperations!!!" kiss my ass, we all enslaved one another in the past.
I now actively vote against any party which supports immigration from the 3rd world, especially from Muslim countries. I don't care if 20% of them are nice, they've been tarnished by my personal experiences.

I studied with a really nice young woman who was constantly approached by black dudes that would follow her around. She was too nice to ignore them and so it kept happening. To the best of my knowledge nothing bad ever happened, though. We all tried to convince her to avoid them though.
Same constantly happened to a German friend of mine. On telling her she should not accept being catcalled and harassed in Görli Park she really really said "but these guys have a hard life and are treated unfairly by so many people". I swear she said it. Totally delusional. I told her that no man should ever harass a woman no matter his background but she just didn't get it and even reacted in an aggressive way to ME!!! They are totally lost.
I agree with whoever said there is no excuse for being an asshole. It is not.

- successful people are despised
- men in their 50s ride KAPUTT bikes at 100 mph on crowded roads and feel cool and edgy
- People feel a salary of 2500 net is good and a 100 year old flat without a kitchen let alone any other items means comfort

I am actually a woman who would love to wear heels but cannot stand the stares and catcalls any more ... also in many circles heels are totally unwelcome and even women will tell you Bs* like "oh you are the only woman I know wearing heels" (add German stare). Whereas my lgbtq friends are praised for it.
I agree that in a polite society we don't insult world leaders based on their looks, weight, etc. But we haven't been in a polite society for several years now. Any doubt I had of that fact was erased 3 or 4 days after the US election when my clock radio woke me up with Germany's state mandated 3-minute news broadcast of which they devoted 1 minute to playing Anderson Cooper's (the guy who's so deep he glows in the dark) unedited "obese turtle on his back" monolog.

Rent in Berlin isn’t affordable when you have to pay for things like a wardrobe, buying/building your own kitchen, even light fixtures. They didn’t even leave me a light bulb. I had to buy my own washing machine. Install my own kitchen. They basically just give you an empty box and charge the same with the currency exchange and things you have to buy yourself as they would in another city. And don’t forget, you have to paint the walls when you leave. Miserable cheapskates.

i think it is true that a diplom is a bachelors+ masters as they basically divided the content into two but it also seems to be way too condensed now in the bachelor and they also only teach you theoretical basics and nothing useful for the working world.
I wouldn't really say I had to fight through the system. The one life lesson I learned from studying here is that as long as you show up and do the required work, that regardless of effort or quality things will turn out all right.
The smartest people didn't go to university, or dropped out early when they knew it was an indoctrination camp into the status quo. That's why most people in Berlin are numbskulls, they mostly go to universities to learn political correctness.

^to the above commenter.... yes some of the smartest people did not go to university, but this was outside of Germany. In places where you can further yourself by being an entrepreneur- something which is not financially viable in Germany. Germany also doesn’t like change or original thought, so those people couldn’t have been successful there. It depends on location. That being said, sometimes you should go to university. I left Berlin and now am finishing my degree - because although I did well being self employed in another country, in Berlin I was financially ruined. It made me consider that maybe things wouldn’t always work out being self employed. Anyway. Am no longer in Berlin but getting my life back. Some fields need degrees. Such as medicine. I also like to learn.... so if you are getting a good quality of learning there is nothing wrong wit attending school.
