They artificially stretch these Ausbildung. Few years ago I met a girl who made an Ausbildung to work in the meat department of supermarkets, she told me they have art lessons. You don’t need art lessons to sell meat and they still cannot train you to have taste in art. Utterly pointless.
Not just that (but of course paying people poorly is 100% a big part of it), it also makes it more difficult to change careers because they'll say "Oh you have learned Kaufmann für Büromanagement, not Kaufmann für E-Commerce. You are not qualified for this job. Do this 18 month Umschulung and apply again". I am convinced that is why so many Germans are so bad at their jobs - there's no way to change careers. Also, for the most part, Ausbildungsberufe are looked down upon. As a result only kind of dumb people do most of them, so teachers inflate their grades so they don't have classes of 80% fails. For some Ausbildungsjobs this isn't the case - nurses and plumbers and electricians have all seemed to be intelligent and motivated (in my experience) but anything that has to do with office work or dealing with customers - they are always incompetent AND rude.

Just got a bill in the mail telling me I owe money to the Zoll for a package I got delivered a week ago.... OVER TWO HUNDRED F***NG EUROS. For a package that cost me 300 EURO. WHAT THE F*** IS THIS ABSOLUTE HELL HOLE! Why in the name of d*** can they drain your money like this? It's like unless you want every single thing in your life to be 100 % German, you're gonna get punished for it. I am afraid to order anything online in case I get a surprise bill in the mail later telling me that I owe more than 2/3 of the price for "handling costs." MY S*** BETTER BE DELIVERED IN A F***ING GOLD PLATED BENTLEY FOR THOSE FEES SON!!!!!!!!!!! How are people OK WITH THIS??? People I talk to are like "Oh, you know. Good ol' Zoll! Keeps you on your toes!" AND I'M LIKE F***ING NO IT'S NOT A CUTE QUIRKY THING ITS F***ING S**T!!!!!!!!!! I will be out of here like a BAT OUT OF HELL as soon as the travel restrictions lift. I have been here two regrettable years and I have never experienced such a miserable, hateful, exhausting, clusterf*** of a**holes in my entire life.
I hate having to go to work every day and listen to all these hipster idiots who are obsessed with Berlin, and how they could never live anywhere else, how the people are so nice and friendly (????!!!!!!!!!!), etc etc. And I have to pretend that I like it here, when in reality it chokes fat d***.

Duty-free limit in Germany is 22 EUR (due to some dumb fuckery it's effectively 27 EUR but that's not really the point here). Duty-free limit in America is 800 USD. When Trump accuses Germany of unfair import taxes he's not wrong. And that's before you look at the tariffs on cars. Germany wants all the benefits of isolationism with all the benefits of globalism. the taxes are crazy high and exactly what they are doing? the roads aren't even properly paid in neukolln. Not to mention the random fines and nitpicking every aspect of life to the penny..... Germany is a socialist country, of course they don't have freedom of speech and have been raised to think this is the only way, comrade.
Germany is good place for the poor but not for motivated educated people. Because Germany does not appreciate your work/study. It is socialism which means the salary of waitress is better than Master degree employee. Or being in H-4 is better than to work, as the govt. pay for your apartment (or at least you can get cheaper apartment 500EUR for 3 rooms apartment), pay for your train ticket, etc.

Germany is about to pass a new law that will make it illegal to burn the EU flag (actually it will expand the protections given to the German flag, as well as the individual flags of German states). Not only burning will be illegal, but also doing anything considered "Unfug" with it. The is no doubt a proactive attempt to prevent wide scale anti-EU protests. The EU is probably more hated in Germany than it has ever been thanks to thr passage of Eurobonds/Coronabonds which violate the German cobstitution. Almost silently, after thr EU rules that Germany is to lose further autonomy, Merkel conceded and the Coronabonds were allowed.
Big loss for sovereignty, big loss for free speech. Exactly what you'd expect from Germany and the EU (which is basically just Germany 2.0).
I have to return to Berlin soon for a few weeks. I’ll remember to keep berlinhater in my mind the whole time because, well it will keep me sane. I always just thought it was my fault and didn’t realize so many felt the same way. Now if freedom of speech were allowed, people would vocalize this .
I just simply feel afraid to leave the house unless I am going somewhere I know my friends are. I don’t understand how I was so social in the beginning. Now I am extra careful who I meet because there are so many broken people in this place. Especially germans. I won’t make friends with new germans. I had rose coloured glasses on in the beginning, until I saw so many broken up things around me. I’m on edge constantly.
White German men agress me and so do the women, they push into me. Junkies are in the subway, the entire city smells like piss. I watch what I wear so people will leave me alone. I don’t get how I ever felt relaxed and comfortable in this place. I have grown to fear interacting with others
The hostility even extends into the expats. You can see it on sell your stuff Berlin. Nobody can have a nice thing. Socialism wants to keep you down. People want to hurt me for no reason, they want to verbally assault or insult me.
When I first moved to Berlin I thought it was just neukolln that felt dodge, then I moved to Kreuzberg and that’s where I got attacked; then to friedrichshain and it is just as dodgy. The only place I ever felt safe was my Schöneberg sublet but even then, the building was haunted and the old German man used to stand directly behind me on the balcony next door and breathe down my neck until I went inside .
Imagine if ppl went up to germans and were like yeah how many nazi's were in your family and how many innocent ppl did your family members rat out and kill ?? No one does that but given their history especially germans in Berlin we all should be asking them !!!

Just recently I was listening to an interview with Milton Friedman where he was talking about how persistent intoxication is basically the same thing as suicide. Couldn't help but think of Berlin. A couple of months ago a guy posted a link to a miniseries with Milton Friedman called "Free to Choose". It describes Berlin perfectly. The only path to happiness is leaving.

I started seeing how backwards the thinking of people here truly is when I was walking by Cafe Sibylle once and saw that their wondows had been completely smashed recently by an anti-gentrification/antifa mob. There was a note on the window that said something like "Hey everyone, Please understand that we are actually on your side and are also against gentrification. We are a small, independent cafe that has been run for 30 years blablabla and we will also continue to fight against gentrification". The scummy leftists that are destroying property and burning cars don't even know who they are attacking. And the people who are being attacked are forced to show support for their oppressors. This is about 1 step from paying protection money.
And then an ex-gf I had a few years ago (German) said to me after the truck attack on the Christmas market at zoo: "I really hope there aren't more attacks done by refugees because then it will give the nazis even more of a reason to gain influence". It's like this whole society is just a race to have the most illogical, convoluted way to form an opinion on anything. She has been conditioned her entire life to not say things like "I really wish Islamists wouldn't do terror attacks" so she has to find some adjacent excuse to say the same thing.
Oh yeah. She also used to constantly refer to her black friend (behind his back of course) as "her nigger" and now she's sharing all those vapid "White privilege is XXXXX" facebook memes.
Germans are dumb. Berlin is a scam. It's impossible to be happy in a relationship with a German if you're a foreigner. The only place you can suffer through a life in this city is by losing all motivation and willpower, drugging yourself with weed or MDMA or alcohol or SSRIs. No wonder there are so many alcohol- and drug-related deaths in this country. Germans don't count those as suicide which is one way they keep the truth suicide numbers here so low.
