What is it with people here and being social? I got into a little chat with someone who works in a supermarket. Next time he acts like he doesn't know me. I was about to say hey man how is it going and he doesn't even say hello. I don't know if I should feel angry because it set me off or laugh because I don't need him and his act is ridiculous. no its not that they dont remember its that they find it weird to "be friends" with people they dont know. They are very strict about who they have chats with and you they dont and what they have chats about. If its a colleague or university comrade (because u say that in english..) then you can have chats about organisatorisches for example.. they get freaked out if your conversation doesnt fit into the context you are in. So you can't just make random small talk about the weather or actually CONNECT on a personal level as they will wonder what you want and what your plan is. Analysis paralysis.
The amount of times ive been blanked when ive tried to make nice small talk with someone. But as soon as you talk the facts and know exactly whats going on they change their tune and are interested. But there is not much in between. They dont see the point in talking for the sake of it (which is not what i think it is but what they think it is)
My neighbours have had house parties for two years. They live on either side of me. They are all friends from the town in west of Germany then randomly decide to move in together but if someone moves out another German moves in. There are eight people. They make a house party every Friday night with the same people for two years. And they live in a busy area with many clubs. They use subwoofer. These culture is so boring
