Germany is such a weird country where everything is illegal. Open-casket funerals are illegal here and even if you are cremated your family cannot take your ashes away, they have to be buried under supervision of the state. You can't name your children whatever you want to name them and there's an Amt that decides what names are permitted. Children have to attend school until they are 16 and if you're a parent who takes their child out of school one day early for a vacation then you will be stopped at the border and will later receive a fine. Also, if you have a child that is 16 but has graduated already then you still have to send them to some kind of training - otherwise you will receive a fine. It's still illegal to burn the German flag in Germany. You can get fined or put in prison for insulting other people and it's even more illegal to insult the president/chancellor. It's illegal to speak ill of the dead in Germany. If you don't pay your television tax then you can go to prison. It's illegal to call someone a fag.

Hey all. Thank you so much for this site. I stayed in Berlin two years and left as soon as corona hit. Took one of the last flights out, it was either that or pay rent. some of you are really pointing out what I thought only I noticed. I met so many sad people in that city struggling with the same problems for a decade. There is also a lot of suicide and death that goes unreported. Because of club tourism. And people don’t speak of it in person as much, about serious issues like xenophobia and addiction. Something is fundamentally wrong with that place. I have a theory because it’s built on bad land, the dark energy doesn’t go away. I had some dark times there myself. Anyway, I have to deregister and do all that shit. How was it when you abmeldung or whatever, the idea is too much for me at the moment, is it as hard as getting in? Can you do it from abroad? Luckily a friend is subletting from me, and he can take care of my mail.
