It only measures three things: average life span, education and earnings. A homogeneous white society means average life spans are longer. It only measures years spent in education, so 10 years of school + 3 year apprenticeship OR 13 years + 5 years of college make it seem like people here are educated. Wages... they suck here. The 50 years of education probably cancel that out. The whole index is a joke metric that Scandinavians and northern euros, the SADDEST PEOPLE ON EARTH, thought up to reward themselves.
Fact is, that the name of Berlin, it's boroughs, surrounding cities and villages are of old slavic origin. Why do not transfer to Poland? If Berlin would be polish, it would be much cleaner and be free of crazy persons.

I like the flair of Warschau and generally Poland. I don't know exactly what it is but it has something my heart can relate to. Not sure as for Berlin being of Slavic origin. It seems to have its own identity and it is always better to have one's own which it doesn't have at all these days.

I used to go to a lake near my apartment to read a few years ago. Usually it was just families there playing with their kids in the water but I noticed more and more nudists would show up. Eventually I noticed one guy in his 30's would always wait for kids to go play in the water and then just go stand right in front of them with his penis exposed. Weirdest thing was that their parents didn't intervene at all. Just acted like it was normal. No wonder all German women are frigid.

The thing I like the most about my time in Berlin is my people avoiding skills, I've got it down to a fine art, except for when I have to take the U-Bahn, OMG what a nightmare, what with all the imbeciles staring at me, coughing without covering heir mouths, a stream of smelly alcoholic beggars, young Arab guys who have been drip fed red cordial, eating stinking doners, talking loudly on their phones, especially the Turks, or Arabs or whatever the phuck they are, you know who I'm referring to. No idea about waiting to the side of the doors until people get off, the women with those black things over their face, it's as creepy as je-ws wearing those crazy little hats, hey, guess what, we don't give a schit about your holier than thou BS, these things just make you look like retards. The little things build up, like waiting for a ticket that doesn't finish printing in the old U-Bahn machines until the train doors close. You have some kind of struggle with your shopping or fahrrad and German's just stop and stare so what's with all the staring, it's so weird. You accidentally make a noise when something drops on the floor and every German stops and stares, even though you act non-chalant and they keep on staring.
I could go on. OK, one last thing, if you want something out of the ordinary, or need help in some way, the answer is always, "I don't know", "can't help you", "I'm in a hurry, ask someone else".
The strange thing is that everywhere else I go in the world, I get along very well with people, no problems whatsoever, except Sweden of course, they must be related to the Germans somehow.

When that happen to me that’s how I knew I chose the wrong place to live. I said ok, these people are weird as fuck! They know what they (the staring) are doing. You ever notice when Germans travel to other places they never do it. They only do certain things when they are around their own. You have to remember these people are a conformist, tribal society. Their strength comes from being a collective not on individual thought. So that’s why they stare because they feel safe amongst their own. When confronted on their odd behavior they like to act clueless. No, remember Germans can never admit when they are wrong. They do it because it makes them feel good to make people feel uncomfortable. These people are sick and weird. Normal people, do stare at people because you don’t want to make somebody uncomfortable. Plus, it a button in your head that says I’m being weird right now. Not Germans, they don’t have that stop button.
So many things just go wrong here cause nothing works out. Everything is all over the place. On Monday I was at an embassy, and the clerk was deeply surprised to hear that I don't use mobile. Ever since I was robbed two years ago I don't use any smartphone, only keep one emergency phone in my bag and check it few times a week maybe. I don't even live in this city. There is a square between my work, local supermarket and home, going one kilometer away from this path feels like a trip to foreign city. I don't live in Berlin, although, my official residence is Mitte. It's like oil and water, we don't mix even a tiny bit.
I'm a native Berliner and reading your experiences, feels like a different world to me. I live in a green, residential and upper middle-class area of former West-Berlin and the people here actually have REAL jobs, the women have long hair without nose rings or ugly pink hair and everything is clean. My direct neighbors are international (Latin America, East Asia, Eastern Europe etc.) but all family-oriented and professionals, not like the lefty hipster crowd in Central Berlin. Wannsee, Potsdam, Grunewald are near. Just love it.

I don't have even one friend though I'm a warm and nice person. Germans are rude, unfriendly and fat. You can't just have a small talk.

I'm a European who lives in your city - I live in the western part too, and it's just a pleasant city with everything one could wish for.
Now compare Berlin with most of the UK, where unfortunately I spent the past 10 years of my life. The UK is a true shithole, London is hell, even supposedly fine cities like Cambridge or Oxford look and feel 50 years behind the rest of Europe.
The UK compared to Berlin and Germany and most of Western Europe is a third world country.
Don't even get me started on the USA.
People who post on this list are mostly morons from Anglosaxon countries who are frustrated because the idea they had of Berlin before moving to Berlin (which they got from hipster blogs, Instagram, the Guardian) doesn't correspond to what they found.
