No idea about waiting to the side of the doors until people get off, the women with those black things over their face, it's as creepy as je-ws wearing those crazy little hats, hey, guess what, we don't give a schit about your holier than thou BS, these things just make you look like retards. The little things build up, like waiting for a ticket that doesn't finish printing in the old U-Bahn machines until the train doors close. You have some kind of struggle with your shopping or fahrrad and German's just stop and stare so what's with all the staring, it's so weird. I could go on. OK, one last thing, if you want something out of the ordinary, or need help in some way, the answer is always, "I don't know", "can't help you", "I'm in a hurry, ask someone else".

When that happen to me that’s how I knew I chose the wrong place to live. I said ok, these people are weird as fuck! They know what they (the staring) are doing. You ever notice when Germans travel to other places they never do it. They only do certain things when they are around their own. You have to remember these people are a conformist, tribal society. So many things just go wrong here cause nothing works out. Everything is all over the place. On Monday I was at an embassy, and the clerk was deeply surprised to hear that I don't use mobile. Ever since I was robbed two years ago I don't use any smartphone, only keep one emergency phone in my bag and check it few times a week maybe. I don't even live in this city. There is a square between my work, local supermarket and home, going one kilometer away from this path feels like a trip to foreign city. I don't live in Berlin, although, my official residence is Mitte. It's like oil and water, we don't mix even a tiny bit.
I'm a native Berliner and reading your experiences, feels like a different world to me. I live in a green, residential and upper middle-class area of former West-Berlin and the people here actually have REAL jobs, the women have long hair without nose rings or ugly pink hair and everything is clean. My direct neighbors are international (Latin America, East Asia, Eastern Europe etc.) but all family-oriented and professionals, not like the lefty hipster crowd in Central Berlin. Wannsee, Potsdam, Grunewald are near. Just love it.

I have lived in Germany a long time and one of the problems I have are the German Turks. They are a yellow bus case for sure. The people I’ve met who was born and raised in Turkey are( more intelligent and progressive) far different from German Turks. I don’t know what’s wrong with German Turks but those people got problems. (1) Racism: Turks complain about white Germans being racist to them, bla, bla, bla. These people steal music from black people but at the same time they hate black people. A black person can’t walk in their house and have dinner with them can they? It’s my third year in Barcelona. Grew up in Berlin and had somehow or other a very troublesome upbringing there, main reason would be the fact that the school principal and shrink persuaded my single mother(at that time her german wasn’t that good as it is today) that I need to be put on Ritalin. You have to know my mother immigrated from Moscow to the the Middle East and from there to Berlin. She considers herself Jewish, but I freed myself from any religious/national or political identity. It was the Jewish primary school that made her clear that if I don’t get those f*#king pills, they won’t tolerate me at their school and I would need to go to a ‘Sonderschule’ and they scared her by telling her sooner or later I would get in contact with drugs (of course nobody explained to her what Ritalin truly is) and that I will end up in prison (my father was a criminal, tree times incarcerated in the Ussr before he met my mother, once in Berlin for ‘versuchte Totschlag’, he loved shooting cocaine, yes shooting not snorting). So as far as back then she wasn’t used to any form and community of Jewish life in Moscow she thought they telling her all this in her best interest and of course she didn’t want me to become like my father. Believe me when I tell you it was a real roller coaster drive having been put on Ritalin from the age of 8 to 16, for both of us. All over the years till before the point I started to smoke a lot of Cannabis and to experiment with a lot of psychedelics I used to be caught up in the role of an extrovert(in my case the clown and fool who has to entertain anyone around on a constant basis) as a form of coping mechanism to be accepted in at least some way by my peers And people would assume that’s who I really am. I couldn’t forgive her that she was so narcissistic (she still is, but I learned how to cope with it) and I couldn’t forgive her for that she was using so much physical punishment on me and forcing me to do things that I don’t like to do. Anyhow I’m now more or less over it and I forgave her somehow knowing that it’s not always black and white. Here in Spain I guess I will be always a ‘guiri’ or an ‘extranjero’, in Thailand a ‘farang’ and in Berlin an ‘Ausländer’, but zero f*#cks given as for the past three years I discovered this rich inner world within me that I don’t bother anymore what someone says to me in an offending way. I know who ‘I’ am. ;-) The reason why I am writing all of this is since last years October referendum of Catalunya’s independence I got this intuition that it would be better for me to go back as soon as my probation will end (still one and half year to go) and help my mother in her business( she is in healthcare). She does very well for the past 11 years and she does fully support me in financial terms. No I’m no trust fund baby or whatever you ‘American or british’ people may call it. Weather is good here and you probably see some nice females here but life’s not all about that I guess, haha. The intuition tries to tell me it’s better to be back ‘home’ and close my mother and to be supportive. She doesn’t get any younger and me neither and I have no real perspectives here(Barcelona) other than working in some department store or something like that. Something really weird happened to me yesterday evening. I have been trying to get into good shape for summer for the beach so I have been working out and doing more cardio lately. I have been going running a lot and last night I tried a new route through a park closed to my place. Halfway through I noticed I needed to pee really badly so I found a secluded area and went behind some bushes and trees. While I was walking into the undergrowth I noticed a woman was staring at me and coming closer but I thought she was just walking and sort of ignored it. While I'm peeing I notice she stops at a bench behind me and sort of starts stretching there like she's about to start running or something. She keeps looking over to me so I move more behind a big tree. Eventually I finish and come out and she says she noticed me and asked if I wanted to go have a drink with her. WTF? Are German women turned on by guys peeing outside or what is this?
