Ah, I remember back when I had only been here four months. That fateful Tuesday when I signed the lease to my very first two-room apartment in Schöneberg. Those were the days. But what I remember most fondly is going home, googling "I hate Berlin" and deciding that the first google result was definitely the best place to share my positive experience.
If anyone out there doesn't know what Agenda 21 is, you'd better start educating yourself, or ask your local Lefty George Soros lackey, but then again, even they won't know they are pawns in his game. www.nowtheendbegins.com/george-soros-agenda-21-and-the-coming-world-government/
TRIGGERED!!!! As Lefties like to say.
No, Lefty's are the the unwanted gifts that never shut up, I'm the little voice trying to get heard over the top of Berlin Lefty political-correctness rhetoric that goes on, and on and on and on and on and on....................
What are the little snowflakes cooking up today in Berlin for the big bad white man, you know the one who builds all those glass ceilings in your heads, when in actual fact, they never give Lefties another thought usually, until they step over the line, like they have in the last three years, they'd rather be out and about doing something productive, like building roads for the little snowflakes to ride their skateboards on to their hipster "start up" :o)))))) or male-feminist meeting where they talk about how bad they are to the women who would take advantage of their naivety at the drop of a Feminist fart :o))))) the big bad white men are also digging coal to melt the snowflakes and making steel shovels to clear the melted snowflakes from the footpaths they built.
Maybe somebody can figure this guy, early 20ies, out. I was at a gasstation, early nighttime, minding my business being normally respectful. I said what I want to buy and he happened to be eating which I didn't notice nor would I minded it if I had. He then remarked: Excuse me that I'm eating, but slightly laughed afterwards showing that he doesn't care. He said it sorts of aggressively. I felt he was rude but was somewhat confused still. I didn't reply anything and just went. He then threw a sorts of offended Bye! my way acting like I'm an asshole. I just can't wrap my mind around it.
I think it has to do with expectations and Germans' twisted definition of politeness. My guess is that you haven't behaved in a certain way that this guy expected and that's why he felt offended. Also - are you male or female? Could be a weird form of flirting.
I'm male, so it's not about that. And yes, that's exactly how I felt, that I'm supposed to behave a certain way. I mean I saw it the other way around too. And It was obvious that I didn't notice him eating. So maybe he felt ignored which is not my thing. And where do you go from there, there is nothing respectful to say, nor fun. It's just a weird double communication. Or maybe he felt actually bad about eating but then dismissed it within, which probably isn't too wrong cause what should be bad about it, other than feeling guilty for nothing. So maybe I could have said: Hey, I don't mind :) which seems really counter-intuitive cause he didn't seem to even care. But that's just a side-thought. I mean people here always always say: "It's all good" but it always is dismissive or critical and rarely even fits the situation, I don't know if you noticed this "It's all good". Overall it seems impossible to reply to and I just hate when people cross your boundaries and he clearly did that. It's not that I mind to connect but when you drive the car in the dirt, I'm not in it.
I guess there is a certain way people in his village interact which he is used to. Since you behaved differently he was offended because he's not aware of the fact that people could behave differently and he doesn't have enough intelligence or life experience to understand that.
My guess is that he expected you to 'catch' him eating, shout over something bro-like, like 'Eating while working? Oooh! But I won't tell' *twinkle*. In short, something paternalistic.
You ignored him. He's not used to that in his village where everybody watches each other's every step and makes comments about it (qualified or not).
That's my interpretation.
Yeah, this makes sense. I mean there is something social about it, but it has this typical notion of putting things above you, which is, now that I think about it, a common theme around here. Everything is framed as above you such as work, instead of you handling the work. It's also all about him and has this other touch of everything being okay, not even including the way you might actually feel. I mean I didn't feel like any of that and generally it is not my way of socializing. I like direct communication unless it is something playful. I'm still thinking what to reply as I'm sure there is something that leaves you feeling alright and doesn't intend to put him down and that puts something against this frame and expresses your reality simply. Maybe something like asking what he means because it really felt confusing. And it's not that I ignored him, I really didn't mind nor did I care since I didn't even notice it cause it's low to focus on such things. I think I have it: "I'm sorry. I didn't notice." It feels quite hilarious and it's just the way it is. Just feels not easy to say cause it's gotto be detached naturally or it feels like he would frame it as a fail replying probably something like musste doch sehen ey which is hard to translate, but a typical expression of this annoying superiority to which you probably can only reply Well, fornicate you and your freaking food man
Obviously it was repressed anger, it's not funny, idiot! You have no sense for self, if you laugh there. It's what you reject within you, it can't be any other way. You're not any much better really but I admit it comes across strange. It's like filters on a guitar amp and most people lack the insight to perceive the actual thing. Anyway go fornicate yourself you cunt!
Get ready Berliners, here they come: www.breitbart.com/london/2018/01/14/germany-historic-church-demolished-mosques-multiply-across-country/
The demolitions of churches don't bother me at all. Virtually all Germans are atheists, and even the ones claiming to be Christians lead mostly depraved and immoral lives, don't even own a bible and probably haven't set foot in a church in decades. Religion here is viewed more like an ethnic group than a set of beliefs; probably some artifact from a time when a bunch of blond-haied, blue-eyed people sought to differentiate themselves by any means possible. Not happy about mosques, though. The locals do enough autistic screeching at all hours of the day. Don't need go add prayer time reminders to all the noise in this city.
Yes, they are coming thanks to these wonderful people who have our Christian values at heart, I'm sure :o))))

What the hell is with hairdressers in this city? They are all, and by all I really do mean 100% of them, either extremely trashy, low-class sluts that reek of stale cigarettes and cheap perfume - the kind of scum that could tell you every detail of what happened on the slew of reality tv shows that aired last week OR they are middle-aged, disgustingly arrogant shrews you'd expect to be employed by some government office. And somehow they all cost the same amount, which is too much, and are all unable to cut hair wort a damn.
That's why I love it when the Frenchies come here on the weekend, you see some really beautiful stylish women who love their femininity and say Fkkk You to Feminism. More than 100 prominent French women last week signed an open letter denouncing #MeToo and its French equivalent “Expose Your Pig” for infantilising women and threatening sexual freedom.
Read the following, signed by 100 prominent French women.
“As women, we do not recognise ourselves in this feminism, which beyond denouncing the abuse of power takes on a hatred of men and of sexuality,” said the letter from influential women in entertainment, publishing and academia.
“The movement chains women to the status of the eternal victim.
“What began as freeing women up to speak has today turned into the opposite — we intimidate people into speaking ‘correctly’, shout down those who don’t fall into line, and those women who refused to bend (to the new realities) are regarded as complicit and traitors.”
I really do think it has something to do with the demonisation of the working class in this country. People here like to look down on other people, and especially people who have an academic education feel superior to anyone who doesn't have one. That's why sadly a lot of working class people start to feel inferior and therefore start smoking and behaving 'ghetto-like' - although there is nothing wrong with their professions at all.
I recommend the Turkish guys' place just opposite to U-Schoenhauserallee. Turkish people knows hair business in general. Hair-dresser guy just came from Istanbul, he told me. I visit him for styling occasionally and quite happy, he knows how to use brush at least! Germans hairdressers are really retarded, they use hair-curler or other machines and that really burns and harms hair. Besides, instead of paying f*cking 35euros for a hair iron I can purchase the iron myself for 50 euros.
Incompetent, rude, frustrated and hateful employees in big shops..Got a cool experience in MediaMarkt with a cashier while trying to buy some cheap headphones. She refused to let me pay because she couldn’t tell a (german) debit card from a credit card. AS A CASHIER, employed to handle payments... and of course, without even bothering to check it anyway. After a snorty comment, I handed her an EC card and still refused because she got offended... Dropped her as my boiling point was close and tried to pay at a different counter. She then run to her colleague to advise not to let me pay when she noticed. I asked her why the reason to be mean, answer “Because I have the right to sell to whoever I want”. The CASHIER, ladies and gents. I simply snapped and called her a stupid bitch. No regrets. I am simply tired of this God Syndrom bullsh*t you get around here from everyone because reasons. Manager popped, directly at me, not even checking on his incompetent, mean spirited employee. I offended, I was the villan. As he was a little fat dude in a pink shirt, I used my broken German to point out his resemblance to a pig... It’s nice when they shut up when you go full savage. Their delusion of superiority is amusing.
End of story: I went to the ATM right outside, got back, paid cash and got my stuff 1 min later anyway...
Don't forget that basically every customer-facing employee you will ever encounter in this city, with the only likely exception being waiters and barkeepers, has completed professional training lasting at least 2 but more likely 3 years. And they are still utterly incompetent.
OP here: I know I acted childish and idiotic. Not really proud. Went reading how to deal with irritability after that. I was just fed up to the bone & snapped wildly. I did pay as I needed my stuff that day... Also, it felt good to rub it in her face and not giving the satisfaction of giving up and go searching for another shop... This city makes you mental!
Cool, glad you picked up in it and thought about it (kind of shocking on this website so good on you). Don't know though if you really showed them by still purchasing from them but you had your priorities straight and got what you needed instead of wasting more time. But yeh, it can really push your buttons especially if the nerves are already strained.
Well, from the story it seems that the lovely German lady tried by all means not to let the customer get his stuff... Therefore, by getting the stuff that easily, was kind of a punch in her face. Which I can imagine how priceless the look on it must have been afterwards, knowing these gentle creatures...
My nine year old kid want go away from here hahaha he told me kids at school are cold
Not being able to trust people or connect with others. Either you encounter self-absorbed individuals with 0 notion about the existence of “others”, fake people that once they get a glimpse of your weaknesses they’ll use that against you at any time, savage people with non-existent communication skills that make akward even the small talk about weather, the ones who are acting like they are better than everyone else, the ones that run away to hide when a close one is in difficulty because they don’t want to deal with anything that endangers their glass shell etc etc Where is the humanity? The compasion? The notion of friendship? And ironically, Germans seem to like volunteering in Africa a lot for humanitarian actions... Is all that only for Tinder photos and getting mechanically laid?
You should look up Robert Hares clinical criteria for psychopathic traits. You may find after researching that 98 per cent of all people you meet in Berlin, will tick the boxes on all traits required to clinically be diagnosed as suffering from one of the cluster B personality disorders or some form of ADHD,OCD,Antisocial Personality Disorder or at least some form of Sociopathy, stop fighting your gut, deep inside your body knows there's something deeply wrong and unpleasant here, when you can accept that,it all becomes a whole lot easier.
Trouble is that to survive here, you have to become like them, but it's so incremental, you don't notice how much you've changed until it's too late and you become psychotic yourself. BUT, admitting it has happened to you is the first step to recovering your real self again, even if somewhat more hermit like. Best thing to do is go for a holiday in any other city and see the difference.
Looks like Germans couldn't queue to save their lives.
German efficiency? PLEASE. Been in this country 4 months and Germans are the eve MOST INCOMPETENT people one can ever have the misfortune if dealing with...they are stupid, arrogant and this entire country is a SHAM:
