My life in this city improved a lot when I adopted OP's mindset. I now always expect every interaction with a German to be negative and I have completely stopped apologizing or trying to accommodate for any problems. It's bliss, actually. I've gone from being a generally agreeable person (i.e. a normal human being) to always having a massive chip on my shoulder, anxiously awaiting provocation from some uncivilized Jerry. And the best part is that the people here ALWAYS back down when you react aggressively. The "Berliner Schnauze" is just autistic screeching; these people lack the wherewithal to do anything at all. Once you suppress the concept or treating others with dignity, respect, allowing them to save face, etc then this city is easier to manage. It's still not a decent city for longterm, but if you're temporarily stuck here seriously just treat all Germans poorly and you'll feel much more sane.

I think you misunderstand good anger for being aggressive. It simply depends on how the other person is behaving. When you perceive it right and it makes you angry, there is nothing wrong with that and it probably is the best you can do for somebody. And I think the thing you do is, you realized how somebody is before you talked to them and just skip all the giving someone credit or seeing if maybe they are not like that. It feels like a relief cause one does in fact know very well already. The themes are quite the same. And you just go by intuition without bothering what it exactly is which is an interesting shortcut. But not respecting somebody is not really the same as treating somebody poorly. The first is actually connected to respect and you have a good reason, a real perception. And it is done from that naturally, which differs though from having treating somebody poorly on the mind. You see? One is connected to your feelings and experience, the other is a overall vague thing without a connection. But you actually just skip all that cause it is not so easy to point out oftentimes like you would blindfire literally in an egoshooter knowing someone is there which differs from being this vague thing. I think it's quite genius and I think you can surely identify a decent person and you would respect them. Not respecting poor treatment is never poor treatment in itself and also needed to actually respect things you respect. I mean it is not that one chooses such. I wouldn't say that neccessarily. Meaning it feels absolutely not true. That it is just ramblings. If you apply some of the thoughts for lets say why something is not funny...because somebody tries to be funny which is the expression instead of it being to warm sb heart. Kind of reminds me of the videos the MSM was showing after the Cologne thing two years ago. Literally every street looks like a war zone on New Year's Eve in Berlin but suddenly I'm supposed to think it's even worse when there are a lot of non-Germans? Yeah, New Years Eve is dangerous in Berlin but to be fair, it's not just non-Germans shooting these "Schreckschusspistolen". A bunch of Germans do it, and have been doing it for decades. Purchasing these guns requires a small firearms permit, which isn't at all difficult to get. It's also illegal to shoot them outside of specific designated shooting ranges and violators can be fined or face prison (haha, yeah right. Not in Germany, I know). But we all know the German police don't arrest people, especially not on New Years.
