This is more than a fact. It's like a verse of whatever religion you believe.

I have developed anxiety by interacting with people in this country. When I am outside of this country, people tell me that I am looking anxious while I am talking to them. They don't know this is the defence mechanism developed by my body against G****ns. They are so unpredictable. The most calm looking person can become shouting beast in a second or you can get berated by random person because you walk 1cm inside in the bike lane or you cross on the completely empty road when the light is red.

i also find Germans unnerving. They are fake because they hide all emotions and pretend to be perfect. They can seem totally trustworthy and reliable, always going along with the rules. but there is another mean person lurking behind the facade . You cant trust them on a human level. They are not in touch with that human side of themselves because German culture beat it out of them. This is why they are ruthless, selfish, pushy and cold. it is the only way to survive in this heartless society without getting pushed down yourself

God! You couldn’t have described my experience more perfectly. It’s nice to know that others experience the same issues, here. You start thinking you are the only one experiencing ( foreigner ) this from Berliners.

I have recently got documents for obtaining German citizenship. I have already managed to book a Termin via online system (seriously big step for Germany) before i got the documents. However, they claim that, the previously booked Termin is invalid because I have done It without getting the Antrag from them and they say I need to get another Termin.

The problem? There is no availability to book appointment currently and their suggestion is that I should keep trying to get appointment via online system. I don't know when I can get It.

I really don't understand why people in this country are reckless against problems they have. I am not talking about the Ausländerbehörde only. Do you want to have internet connection at home? Technician will come someday. DHL lost your package? Sorry, we can't do anything. Taxes are so high? Yeah but bla bla bla.... There is worrying inflation rates and upcoming energy crises. Eat less and take shower with cold water.

I am just waiting for getting citizenship and I hope, I can start living some fulfilling life in any other EU country

Overall, Germany is an underwhelming and very overrated country.

I know how the process works from experience. You have to make an appointment so that an underworked, overpaid bureaucrat can hand you the form and explain the same things that are written on the actual form. The form is not available online even though it would probably improve that office's efficiency by 3x. To top it off, the person there actually will probably tell you incorrect information. The plus side (for me) was that my caseworker was nice.

You need to run a bot to snap up online appointments. That's what everyone does, that's why a human can never get an appointment through online sign-up for auslaenderbehoerde, nor for the vaccines last year.

Why is it almost impossible to make friends here? Both the locals and the expats seem to only be interested in shallow acquaintanceships, it's super hard to do activities a) during the day and b) which does not revolve around eating. People don't share anything personal, neither do they ask you stuff about your life. Also, a lot of them don't seem to have much of a career and no romantic life either. Maybe I am in the wrong circles, but this has been my experience.

Holy poop the unfriendliness! I get it, working at Netto sucks. You don't make much money and don't even get paid extra for having to deal with the costumers aka hipsters and regular Berlin scum but duuude, you are lucky if the cashiers in this City don't punch you in the face as greeting

And don't get me started on what happens when crossing the street and the lights aren't green yet... it's amazing how People here cannot mind their own Business but WILL call you out for whatever they can find

Germans are so ffucked up it cannot be overstated. Coworker told me her daughter's Kindergarten has a sauna for 3 year olds and that they go in there (naked of course) with thr (naked of course) teachers. Sounds like complete BS anywhere outside of Jerkmany but it is real. I gotta get out of here before I have a child - this place is just too much.
