One rude person after another. I wasn’t in a good mood the other day… and it’s like they sense it and feed off it because they derive some pleasure… well Schadenfreude silly me. It was all ‘people‘ working in service who treated me with contempt. At supermarket the cashier threw the Pfand Bonn/receipts I handed to retrieve the pitiful amount of petty cash I expected to receive from storing Smelly old bottles in my home and lugging them to the supermarket the other day. But apparently you can only get the money back from the exact stores you took them back to… never mind it being a chain - it was Rewe and no it wasn’t like dropping it off in Edeka and trying to retrieve cash in Rewe. My logic is it’s a chain. Anyway one could explain reasonably and politely, this monster did not. He threw them back and shook his head and said nothing but gave a refusal face and frowned - Total contempt. I asked and he said in German ‘nothing to do with us’ … I said it’s Rewe and I had to be the one asking if it’s because it’s a different store … he was not willing to offer an explanation, but just enjoy watching me squirm. Then that eve we went to dinner in a German place … big mistake… when it came to paying the brute asked for the receipt but we didn’t realise it had fallen on the floor. He was so cross with us (the customers) “how do you expect to pay?” There was no humility or humour - just an incredulous look/ scowl and barking at us. Oh yes I forgot the lunch at a Lebanese place … immigrant service to foreigners also stunk. Btw we spoke German. They were even talking about us under their breath. We did nothing besides exist. But I’m a country where the customer is always wrong and people are always ‘in the way’ this was our crime.

Abolish religion… it’s a societal plague.
Whenever it comes to religion, double standards are strong.
For example, if these Koreans would complain about “loud noise, dirt, disturbing the peace at inappropriate hours” etc. if it was about building a club in a quiet residential area full of elderly, most will see how that is inappropriate…
Because it’s a mosque, it’s a whole debate and suddenly is acceptable.
No, it’s not.

There was one comment there, something like „Muslim are victims where in minority, when in majority… there’s no minority“ and the fact that they start slow with imposing their own way of live whenever they go…
Why all the rest we have to adjust and respect our environment, but they always need to change it to cater their needs?
Religion should be strictly personal and individual… not imposed in any way on anyone, or any society.

It’s true, they did nothing wrong. All the chaos the Americans, French, Brits, Saudi Arabia have caused. Not one Saudi, or western politician has been sent to The Hague. The Americans pushed Russia into this shit. What if Russia started arming Cuba, or Mexico? Oh forgot, when the Americans do it then whatever war crime is committed is justified. „In the name of Democracy.“ How easy are people‘s minds changed by the media racist propaganda. Anyone, who studies politics would know this a power struggle between Russia and NATO. How many military bases do Russia have around the world compared to you know who? And Ukraine are full of freaking racist.

People also seem to forget that before Russia's attack, Ukrainians had been terrorizing Russian minorities in eastern Ukraine for years, disrespecting the Minsk agreements.

F*cking LMAO at people donating money to the most corrupt country in Europe. Those oligarchs over there are surely looking forward to your hard-earned money coming their way.

Ukraine is a collateral victim, sadly, to a war between NATO and Russia.
And yes, we are being fed a lot of propaganda, on all sides. Best we can do is use our own thinking capacity and educate ourselves.

Huh? Don’t ever slip up and reveal your personal problems to Germans. Watch in real time how they immediately become uncomfortable. These people aren’t your friends, don’t fall for the trap of them making you feel comfortable around them.

Some guy threw an egg at Berlin's mayor last weekens. Creepy how they talk about it on the news here. "Of course he should be punished by the hardest extent of the law! It is an insult of a German politician and an attempt at a life threatening injury! Our Giffey deserves better!"

Our Giffey? Wtf I thought the GDR lost.

Talk to Germans. They think it's worse and harder elsewhere. They think you need a social safety net that allows East Germans to not have worked in 30 years and still get enough taxpayer money to be permadrunk at the local späti 16 hrs a day. They are highly insecure (justified imposter syndrome). Imagine your incompetent boss at work. Now imagine him working somewhere where you can actually get fired...

"They think you need a social safety net"

What a childish mentality. These are the same people claiming that they are autonomous and independent.

People don't need safety nets, but a stable job market and access to jobs.

Yeah man, I'd rather just earn 25% more and build my own safety net. This 10%+ inflation is gonna suck here since your salary needs to increase like 15% just to break even with all the taxes. Ever het a 2% raise here? It almost all goes to taxes.

What is your biggest dissapointment about Germany?

20 of 20 people agree with this

-Nation that pretends to have learned from its past mistakes but is still incredibly racist and prejudiced against foreigners of a certain kind. If you are not "white", forget about certain doors being open to you. Even if you speak German well, any hint of an accent or a foreign origin will serve as an excuse for people to discriminate you.

-Conformity and obsession with rules and laws. You are expected to behave and think in certain ways. There is no room for innovation or flexibility.

-Mental illness. So many people on antidepressants and/or on drugs because otherwise they cannot cope with life. It is not surprising. It is easy to get depressed in a country like Germany.

-Wages and high taxes. Forget about ever owning a house or a flat. You will rent for life. You won't own a new car. You won't make it big and go from rags to riches, as you could in the USA. You will earn an average income and live in a tuna can somewhere. Perhaps you might even share a flat with strangers because you cannot afford a place of your own.

-No moral values. People openly cheating on their partners or leading open relationships. Patchwork families are increasingly common. Lots of divorce, low birthrate.

-Ugliness. Whether it is the architecture, or the way people dress, or the way people dress, behave or look. It is hard to find beauty. People are vulgar, impolite, rude. Women ruin themselves with tattoos and piercings. Men ruin themselves with the same, but also add passive aggressiveness, which makes them even more insufferable. It is OK. They will adopt a dog or an African child from Ruanda just to make up for it.

-The weather. Grey skies for most of the year. Only a few days of sun and real summer.

Re: Beauty

In Berlin and near it there isn't even any natural beauty to be enjoyed. Extremely flat landscapes. Yeah, there's some overcrowded lakes here but they are gross and literally stink in warm weather. Ever heard of an agency in Germany report on the fecal bacteria count on the lakes here? Classic German head-in-sand. Where I am from they report this weekly on actual oceans. Pretty sure by our measurea, no lake in Berlin would have ever been allowed to open (and indeed, it is not actually permitted to swim in most of them here anyway).
