Why does it feel like everything here is always used to capacity? Doctor, cafes, apartments, trains. There is no slack built into the system it seems. It's like everything is expected to run at 110% efficiency.

Or to use another example: Isn't it weird how the people at Edeka run the cash register AND simultaneously restock shelves in the middle of the after work rush? Why don't they hire two people? Why don't they restock in the morning or at night? Why are the lines always so long? Why do other countries manage this better?

Add to that unlimited sick days and thr whole system just barely works. People constantly fake being sick here and nothing ever gets done. In an office setting no one does a handover, so when Claudia goes on her 3 week hike through Norway or whatever the hell Germans do for vacation, her work just doesn't get done. I have seen 7-figure deals sit for months because people are out.

And then there are the longterm "sick" people here that have figured out how to squeeze a free vacation (Kur) out of their health insurance. Pretend you have a sore ankle or burnout or just never process the fact that your mom was a bad mother and state insurance will send you on an all-expense paid vacation to the Baltic sea. Pretty sure this is the only way domestic tourism exists in Germany.

And if you are just poorish, then thr government offers stuff like this:

No idea why vacation is a human right here.

Anyway, at the end of the day even lower class earners pay around 50% tax (income tax, Rundfunkbeitrag, VAT, Mandatory Health Inrusance, Mandatory Social Security, etc) and for what? So you can beg at the government's feet anytime you need something? Wouldn't it be better to enable people to stand on their own two feet and carry their own burden?

I get that some people cannot manage their own lives. But when I know a commercial pilot who has done two 6-week Kurs for a sore elbow it is just ridiculous that he isn't paying for it himself.

But the racist and homophobic guys here( or only one) is freaking you all up. Because one would think: no wonder these people hate Germany. They must be socially totally fucked. But i know better thank god.

something is deeply wrong with germans. they can't show and feel emotion, they are sick really. They can't show real emotion and affection they get very uncomfortable when feelings are involved. It seems like they repress the feeling of love or something. They are dead inside I really wonder why can someone explain? It's like they have no soul or something. Don't even think of starting a relationship with them, it's pointless. I have done that mistake and was just thinking about if she ever gave me a compliment and she didn't ever and when she tried to she packed it around in some sort of indirect way so that I had to detect and sort of find out that she wanted to be nice it was fake and not real anyways. What's wrong with these people?

9 of 9 people agree with this

yes it is really wrong. And you are made to feel like a complete idiot if you reveal your feelings to them so don't. They are not worth it anyway all they are hiding is a deep fear of imperfection.

Just lie about your time in Chermany. Say you headed a team or founded a company or sang in the operahaus or whatever the equivalent is in your career. If they ask why there is no trace of it online say "Datenschutz". People who have never lived here think this place is great so use that to your advantage.

It really depends on how many years you wasted exactly. I only wasted two. If it was ten, I would probably feel worse about it. I'm just glad not to deal with German harrassment of me due to me not being German anymore. It depends if you want a lifetime of that. If you don't leave. The fact that they don't have power over me anymore is a gift I appreciate in my life every single day.
