How is germany these days. I left two years ago, crazy to think about it. Is everything locked down? I can’t keep up with the news

No lockdowns, but you can't do anything indoors without 3 doses of an mrna vaccine despite the study from DK showing that the "fully vaccinated" (I am sure that in 6 months there will be another arbitrary number of shots needed) are more likely to catch omicron.

Arent all the venues closed? Or just the larger capacity ones?

You should have read the abstract of the study and would have seen that vaccinated are NOT more likely to get infected than unvaccinated. It just says 2 doses are not as effective if gotten longer ago vs those who are boostered

  Anonymous wrote:

Yes, from today on your vaccination after 9 months is considered invalid or you will be treated as unvaccinated aka like low class citizens…you will have to get these boosters + new vaccines specifically against omicron to have your basic human rights

I think I may be on the autism spectrum. Now I am realizing why Berlin got to me so much. It's really "in your face", or, is it normal to feel anxiety for people leaving their house who are not on the spectrum? Because I remember being really overwhelmed living there, to the point just doing daily tasks would give me anxiety.

because I'm wondering if neurotypicals also have these problems in Berlin? It just has a very aggressive feeling everywhere and the stress was too much, but maybe it's because of me, or just the place itself? Any idea?

^ but are you autism spectrum?

Also now I realize I am autism spectrum I just wanted to say, sometimes people make fun of Germans on this forum and say they are like autistics. And that isn't true. If you look at the spectrum between all types, it goes
Autism _____> neurotypical______> psychopath
As you can see, Germans are on this end ^

I’ve lived here a few years and finally figured out what nags me repeatedly about this city: it’s empty. And I don’t meant that it’s just physically empty (that’s kind of an upside) I mean: its hollow. A total cultural void. The only thing that is remotely well developed here is the nightlife (and even that’s kind of monotone – sounds mass produced in the extreme). Everything else that Berlin is ‘famous for’ is dead: dead history, dead cultures, dead beliefs, dead philosophies and dead politics. I’m always surprised at the number of churches and Christians living here. Given the bad vibes in the air, I’d expect the people here to be sacrificing bunny rabbits to the Dark Lord. Lol…

Churches, christianity and overall religion is not culture. Is a primitive, narrow minded concept that supresses any form of critical thinking and divided people since its inception.
Until we abolish it we won‘t progress much as a species

Funny. Most advanced cultures were religious and even had priests as leaders (ancient Egypt and Sumeria come to mind).

Why are they so obsessed with their language? I mean, I know many people who have been living here for almost 10 years with okayish German and they all work and live with English without any problem. The language requirement to get citizenship is B1 so why would I care to learn more German If I can get citizenship and able to work in English?

I am planning to leave Germany soon. However, I can also apply for German citizenship in couple months as non EU person. Not sure, If I should leave Germany without gaining the citizenship or wait one more year to get It somehow.

wait!!!! get the citizenship first. you can also maybe just sublet your room and then leave, for the address?

I wouldn’t say Barcelona, Spain or Spain is a better place. Even if you speak English and Spanish you will still have a hard time finding a job. Spain’s economy is poop and they are continually in the process of figuring things. The country can’t even produce jobs for the native population much less other migrants. Barcelona and Spain is a vacation spot, no more, no less. So, not everywhere is better than Germany, unfortunately. You should have patience and plan your exit wisely.

So delusional is foocking funny.
Met a German that is in the weirdest and deepest denial I have ever seen a human be in.
I somehow feel sorry for him as due to his inability to admit a super poor choice is suffering like a dog in the rain.
He’s not even a bad person (I know, they do rarely exist) but his Germanness is screwing him over big time.
I get angry and frustrated to even deal with the ones that seem decent, because once you get closer and witness the miserable small world they choose to bathe in, you get depressed as well.
Sometimes I think they like to suffer for the sake of suffering or something, and in time they just became this bitter female dogs we all see.
I think I just witness the transition of one. Their own foocking fault, man.
Unsaveable

Surprised to see that a decade ago Der Spiegel would actually publish stories that weren't just fluff pieces about how great Chermany is.
