Sometimes I beat myself up about being stupid because I’m not getting ahead in this sh*thole place and my mental health down. It’s hard to remind myself that it actually has nothing to do with me being stupid but this place being a toilet.
I beat myself up every day for choosing to study my bachelor here instead of staying in my homeland or in another country. 7 years already, I'm already seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and can't wait to move out. In these 7 years I also haven't found a single friend to hang out with. I feel like all decent people who understand my situation are the ones on this website.
Don't let this country to make you feel down. You are much more valuable as person than Germans make you think. This country is perfect stepping stone to move to real developed and better countries due to Its reputation globally. Germany is not the USA. Germany is not the country for people who want to get ahead. Good example for this: Germans of Turkish heritage or Germans of Vietnamese origin. The former get by simply due to the fact that their cuisine is more enjoyable than that of the Germans, and the latter set up nail saloons or take-outs. Now, that is what I call success! In the USA second and third generation Americans of foreign origin have a much higher social and financial status than their grandparents or parents, even.

Sometimes I'll be watching a documentary and see breathtaking pictures of beautiful coastlines, waterfalls, mountains, etc. and be reminded of what a pit Berlin really is. The only "mountains" here are man made from rubble after the war. Even along the Spree everything just looks boring. The only part of Berlin I have seen that is kind of pretty is that Victoria Park, but the Berliners hanging out there even ruin that. No wonder nothing of beauty has ever come from Berlin.

Really cool 1800s level technology these radiators. Couldn't believe when I moved here that you can't set a specific temp and/or hours of operation. Pretty dumb (not to mention inefficient). I miss forced air heating because you can warm an entire house in like 5 minutes. With a radiator it takes like 4 hours.
Why do they stock up in the supermarkets while people are trying to shop?
I am fed up of moving containers around to be able to get a product I want from the shelf. They are also blocking aisles which makes It almost impossible to walk around. Idk, If I am overreacting or this country does not make sense at all on many things
I was just thinking about this yesterday. Germans are so darn autistic that they take everything to the extreme, including cost saving. When I am in a foreign country I never see people stocking shelves while people are shopping. I also see about twice as many workers. In Germany they'll do anything to save a Pfennig, real life consequences be damned. Same reason they don't have public toilets, water fountains or free condiments. Third world mentality.
yesterday in Aldi this worker bumped into the back of a wheelchair with a guy in it who obviously had downsyndrome or sth. The guy reacted quite strongly and got a bit aggressive but fair enough he is disabled. The worker got really angry back and was like "im not paid enough for this"...absolutely zero compassion for a poor man in a wheelchair

Sometimes I'd like to go on my way back from work, but no, gotta go back home pick up all the empty bottles! On my way to the shop I pray there won't be someone with an industrial sized rubbish bag of pfand bottles already there using the machine.
Then it's such a stress, people here seem to have never used shopping carts before and just leave them anywhere or bump into you. On top of that I have to avoid the employees and these "containers" they leave around blocking the aisles.
If I spend more than 5 secs pondering which product to buy someone's gonna get hysterical, guaranteed.
I finally get to the check out and of course we all know they can't queue, and that the cashiers have to scan the items super quick to keep their job... and of course even after years gotta show them that I'm not hiding anything inside or under the empty shopping bag.
And I don't even go to a discounter and I live in a well-off area in the west

1. How the hell did Germany have to foresight to lay the legal groundwork over the past 6 years to make specific vaccines mandatory and compulsory starting in 03/2020?
