Nope, sometimes at first glance I thought I did but in the end it's never genuine and they go out of their way to prove that if was actually your fault to begin with.
Example: I got food poisoning after eating at a German acquaintance's, I never expected an apology because shiite happens, they did apologise though. After that it would always be brought up and made it look like it was somehow my fault because I'm too delicate.
Came back today from holiday and shivers went down my spine… Almost cried in the train.
From the moment I step foot on my way to board the plane, there were dirty looks from Grobian Germans, next to me sat a dirty Brumhilde that didn’t even had that seat, but just took the spot… I won’t normally be annoyed (I checked that spot because there was no one technically on the seat next, but surprise… Either way, not my plane to shoo her away) and it made me cringe in anxiety when she just straight on starting to speak in German to me saying she just „took it“. Although, my German is not the worst, I just felt like telling her I don‘t speak German so I can brush her entitled Deutsch attitude. The whole flight she ate crap from a plastic bag, took her shoes off and put her stinky feet up, fiddling around. I tried to close my eyes, meditate a bit with my headphones on just to zone out… When we got out of the plane, although I usually wait for the ones „in a hurry“ to hurdle away… There was a dude that was just pushing me when I tried to grab my luggage from the overhead compartment and had to shoo this one away. Flying with these creatures is a horror story…

What is the point of working in this country as expat? I have been working for slightly more than 4 years and I still ask the same question to myself everyday.
Payment is like a joke with high tax rates (you should feel lucky If you can save 800€ per month) , office environment is dull as hell, no communication and patronising managers, no remarkable payrise (just keep up with the inflation rate) or promotion to foreigners (even you deserve It 100 times more than your colleague Stefan / Sigrid) I don't even want to mention about social life. I mean the average German works 45 years, saves a small amount (let's say 20k), owns a pooping car, rents forever, has no kids, ends up in a nursing home where no one visits. freaking retarded life, who needs this shit? Tbh, 800 EUR/month should be thr minimum you're saving. After 40 years you'll have half a mil. Doesn't have to be in cash, could be in a house or gold or crypto or whatever, but better tham this german hand to mouth, hedonistic mentality. Velocity of money in EU is like 4x higher than in US because people don't save anything here, they spend it all on rent and food and cheap Mallorca vacations. It's not good.
