I went to a patisserie to buy a cake this afternoon to take away home. When I was about to leave I headed to the door. I saw a moron local opening the door and had a feeling she was gonna be a numpty... and she was. She tries to get in even though I am coming out and the door is a normal size. If I was new I might have jumped out the way and cried sorry a couple of times (being that I am British) but I stood my ground, blocked the beast's way, and said "Entschuldigung". The savage froze for 2 seconds then retreated and looked irritated she had to move out to let the person exiting go first, as is common courtesy EVERY WHERE in the world. She looked like an ossi. The shop was a posh place... this wasn't a rowdy music festival or something... absolutely no excuse you blonde, gormless, ignorant türd. She didn't say sorry... obvs. That would be too decent. These people are so unsavoury. So entitled, proud, arrogant, and.mean spirited. I cannot wait to leave the country this Sunday. I am leaving for a month. Pity I have to come back to this barbarian swamp.
I was in London recently and even though I'm not from England, I didn't want to leave. I miss something like Small Talk in Berlin. I just miss everything here that makes contact with people in a big city more bearable. Unfortunately in Berlin, everyone is just trying to make your day and their day extremely shitty.
Germans still have a savage, post war mentality. I couldnt believe that people still behave this way when I first moved here and actually thought at first it is just a big city thing. But it's not at all. For the bad rep the Parisians get, they are a hundred times more pleasant than Berliners AND less pretentious and arrogant as well.
And yeah, it is completely normal here for people to try to squeeze in in front of you or just stand directly in your path. They also always avoid eye contact when they do it which is extra weasely because even a German couldn't behave this way when looking you in the eyes. Turdworlders.

You're not the only one who knows this. I worked for H&M in Berlin for a while and then for about four other employers and I experienced what you did everywhere. I'm white (if I have to say so myself) and I've experienced disgusting bullying here, mostly from white Germans. It's true that the eastern part of the population had the worst behavior.
I habe never been bullied at work here, but the Germans I have worked with have definitely had a tendency to think they are entitled to everything and have gone about it by scummy means. Even rather trivial things, like once when some old German wannabe Green woman managed to talk my German manager to make me change desks because she wanted to sit at a window. Living here has definitely made me more willing to argue over petty bullshit, because these people are truly mental babies.... Almost all of them.

Why do they build gates after self service tills but not when entering the subway?
Today I went to a store and was happy they had an easy to use self service till, letting me pay without dealing with a german. Of course, instead of just leaving after paying some gate blocked my way. It was one of those any normal city would use on subways. I refused to scan the receipt and left via the regular tills getting dirty looks after I said something along the way of “Germans always have to make easy things difficult”

What do people mean when they say thry feel free in Berlin? I have never felt free here. Nothingnbut busybody ex-stasis and oppressive laws against everything. It’s both. It feels free to visit but not live. Also, some people just want to be free of responsibility and go on welfare and party. I guess depends on what you mean by free. I like partying, but the drawbacks as you mentioned from Berlin did not make up for it, plus I need a certain amount of money to live so that I don’t look/feel like a bum.
I have had two vaccinations. You get a cardboard booklet with stickers and a stamp. Then you have to take the time to go to a chemists to show them said booklet, then they take a day to provide a QR code. A QR CODE... and they print it and give it to you. You can develop AUDI but you cannot send a QR code by email. No... better waste some paper, a plastic wallet, oh and my time... and you have the audacity to peach to foreigners about öko.
