It’s a problematic country. It starts from early on. School teachers make the harshest remarks to stripe you of your motivation to learn and suck your soul. They kill your creativity and uniqueness from early on. Here it’s all about conform, conform, conform. They break your soul purposefully. School, workplace, society. If you’re different in any way, be prepared for mobbing. That’s why people are so broken here. This place kills your positivity and optimism. This place kills you.

First sentences of that post : "So in my last post i said how its hard for me to find something to love in germany and many peoples got offended and thought that im disrespecting the culture."

How on the and why someone would find these sentences as disrespectful to the culture? I really mean, how ?

If you would critise something in Germany as foreigner, either you disrespect their culture or things are different here than your home country. Who cares about their culture seriously but It is soul sucking to live with these people.

"Germany is difficult for immigrants. Even though many people tell me I am the "right kind of immigrant" (white/christian/speak German - freaking racist people, I hear it all the time) I still have problems. My German is so good when spoken that very often it takes a bit for people to realize I am not German, but when they see my writing they get offended at the mistakes.

Germany is not a warm and fuzzy place. People are 'cold' in comparison to north america if they dont know you. Dont get me wrong, if you make a friend here they are your loyal friend for life (which I cannot say about north america). But the process to actually make friends is long and tiring. The rudeness of the people in stores still shocks me, the fact everyone loves to push in front of you in line annoys me."

BTW, I don't buy the "friendship is hard in Germany but then they're friends for life" BS. If people in North America are on average about 60% open to friendship and 5% are open to close friendship then that's still way higher than the 2% of Germans open to any friendship and the 5% of the remaining that would permit close friendship (being generous here). 100% sure that rumor was started by a German.

I don’t care if I offend their culture. What of it! I always hope other Germans never ask how I like it here because then I have to be honest. I don’t care if they get mad afterwards. I don’t give a flying poop if they are offended. Fuck’em!!! And don’t ask me, “ what made you come to Germany?” None of your business! I’m trying my absolute best to leave this idiot for another country. Thank you COVID-19 for destroying my plans to leave. And if I have to hear that friends for life poop one more time I will jump off a bridge. Germans are the most deceitful people I have ever met in my life. ALL of them will turn on you in a second. Do not trust Germans male or female they are still NAZIS at heart.

Their communication is disgusting at workplace. If I would not have worked in Germany, I would file mobbing complaint already, However (unfortunately) I work in Germany and they don't care and this is their culture. They enjoy berating each other even in written form (which can be used as evidence to make a legal case BUT we are in Germany so It does not happen) This is nowhere near to be professional.

I am hoping to ditch this place as soon as possible...

The suicide and drug abuse statistics were already through the roof in Berlin. So I’m trying to understand, as we can’t tell since german media never reports anything, what it’s like now. I would think because the clubs were closed people would take less drugs, but maybe it’s more because now they really have nothing left to distract themselves from the pain of their miserable lives in the middle of winter ? I don’t really know

Also in the contract they made me buy the kitchen from the last tenant and said if I sold the kitchen when I moved out, I would have to go down to the basement, get the old kitchen from storage, and reinstall it in the flat. The landlord helped me with nothing, espexially two years of constant subwoofer from my German neighbours. So obviously I sold the kitchen and didn’t reinstall one or pay my last two months rent , as the contract also said I wouldn’t get my 2+k deposit back if I left Germany.

They also rent to you with no lightbulbs or light fixtures. They don’t even give you curtain rods. You also have to buy your own washing machine. Basically they give you an empty box and charge the price you would pay in another city for a place with a washing machine, lights, kitchen etc. They also charge a house maintenance fee. This should tell you everything you need to know about the German society.
