HAHAH, their reasoning is that homeworkers "contribute less to the infrastructure of the economy whilst still receiving its benefits". WTF? Because I'm not packing into an overcrowded train or driving on a congested road with no parking spaces you think I'm contributing less to infrastructure. Get raped Deutsche Bank, most corrupt bank in the history of earth.

Your landlord will give you orders on how often you will need to open the windows (once per hour for 5 min) and you will need to "Entlueften" the heating by yourself handling a strange piece of metal and fighting with the water coming out.

I had the opening window stipulation as well, and I had one that said if I got a pet it couldn’t be a dog or a cat, only a fish or hamster

Also in the contract they made me buy the kitchen from the last tenant and said if I sold the kitchen when I moved out, I would have to go down to the basement, get the old kitchen from storage, and reinstall it in the flat. The landlord helped me with nothing, espexially two years of constant subwoofer from my German neighbours. So obviously I sold the kitchen and didn’t reinstall one or pay my last two months rent , as the contract also said I wouldn’t get my 2+k deposit back if I left Germany.

They also rent to you with no lightbulbs or light fixtures. They don’t even give you curtain rods. You also have to buy your own washing machine. Basically they give you an empty box and charge the price you would pay in another city for a place with a washing machine, lights, kitchen etc. They also charge a house maintenance fee. This should tell you everything you need to know about the German society.

I posted here a few months ago about a reddit community at reddit.com/r/BerlinSucks I created to help collect news stories that illustrate why Berlin is a garbage city. There were a few dozen posts about things like widespread pedophilia in the Kentler experiments and Rote Freiheit, far-left ideology within the police, sexual and physical assaults, bottlenecks in covid19 test availability, state-sponsored child raising books that recommend touching female children in a sexual way, etc. Every single post was accompanied by a detailed and neutral source. Nothing fringe or sensational. Today Reddit silently banned it for "violating community rules". No message, no way to appeal, nothing. No criticism of Germany is permitted on any centralized social media communities. Thank GOD for berlinhater and other independent dot coms. Keep up the good work admin!

Of course it’s immigrants who developed the corona vaccine. Germans are incompetent. But they’re eager to say it was a German invention. Hypocrites

You're right. Unfortunately it'll be the Germans who are going to pass legislation mandating the vaccine as a pre-requisite for entering German via any border. The Bundestag will decide on that new law next week. This isn't a joke.

- GPS network (thanks for making it public Clinton)
- Stanford, MIT, Princeton, Havard, Yale, CIT all rank within the top 10 universities globally, Germany doesn't have 1
- Chemotherapy
- Anything computer related
- Didn't start two world wars and get butt hurt when they lost.

I've spent 3 years trying to get hired for an entry level job that could turn into an actual career. I have a master's degree and lots of office experience from student assistant jobs. I have applied to about 300 companies and have had about 50 in-person or online interviews. The only place that would hire me so far has me in a mindless back office, no progression job. Am I simply unemployable?

At my current job I have looked at the Linkedins of most of my senior colleagues. Somehow they all managed to start specialized career paths right out of university even though they had less experience than I do. I'm beginning to think I should have just pretended I never did ANYTHING before starting university because Germans seem to prefer a blank slate to someone who at least can show they have worked a steady job for years.

I think a lot of people here are grumpy and negative simply because they lack the vision for a better life and options to better themselves. People who are optimistic dream of a better future and try to achieve their goals. It seems like here people constantly put each other down. In the end, there are a few winners, but so many losers who are left behind. In these circumstances I would have a negative outlook too.

i dont think they know what it means to have dreams and opportunities. They have resigned themselves to the fact that they will have the same job forever and nothing will ever change. I can feel the East German oppression in the air which keeps everyone at the same level doing monotonous tasks all day. They think they are so clever because they know exactly what they'll be doing three weeks from now at what time. But all these obligations take over their mind to the point where they control their mind and they just blindly follow them without realising that a "free" life exists. Like i heard a cleaning lady who thought she was all important talking on the phone about the Termine she had to make. She had been programmed and they all have.
