I don’t understand the price of flats here vs people’s salaries.
They could have bought those apartments ten years ago for a fraction of the price, but these imbeciles say "we are Germans, we don't buy, we rent", stock answer every time. There was a lady coming by, smiley, friendly saying hello then ripping her clothes off and taking a swim. Coming back and even asking me if it’s OK to sit next to me to clean her shoes from sand. Chill, friendly, cool.
I didn’t feel as weird as I do in Berlin that she went full naked, she went to the designated place after all. Even though I as wearing a bathing suit, no one was nasty, said anything or gave a shit.
Everyone was enjoying a day in the water.

Sorry to break it to you, but learning a foreign language that isn't English is one of the biggest wastes of time imaginable. Why would anyone spend 100s of hours learning to speak a language they need once a year for a few days? I have met plenty of Germans who pretend to speak Spanish or French or Russian but almost none of them can say anything more than "Where is the library". Biggest waste of time for most people.
If you want to relocate to a country, not just visit for holidays then learning the language is just common sense.

American here. I speak C2 German (certified by a German authority in a 6 hour exam). My message to any Americans wanting to move to Germany: Don't! I spent years thinking thinga would get better if I integrated into German society, spoke better German, had a German degree, etc. The truth is that it doesn't matter how hard you try to fit in. You're always just your nationality in Germany and you're always at the bottom of society. I would even go so far as to say that Germany seemed kinder before I understood German because at least then I had no idea how rude and nasty the locals really are.
I feel like people in Berlin either ghost me when I point out the problems here or agree with them but still complain and continue living here anyway. What the hell?

What is the best lake in Berlin?
Strausberger See is quite nice, the small town is pretty chill while the lake itself is nothing special. Stienitzsee is especially beautiful place, it has some elevations and overall has lovely ways to walk around it and there is some highways also which give a really free feel. And then the lakes around Königs Wusterhausen, they are good, lots of camping though.
