For a Tech guy, which city is the best to settle down in Europe. I mean to compare with cost of living and salary.
Berlin is terrible for tech, 99% of jobs are startups, which are always barely above the water, you will work your butt 12h per day for circa 2k-2.5k euro in stressful atmosphere, the city is utter disgusting, ppl are rude, internet connection speed and beaurocracy ridiculous, you can find better opportunities anywhere in europe, pay comparing to cost of living will be better even in eastern europe. Answer yourself if it worth it.
Spent four weeks in another country. Couple days back in B. and so ready to leave again.
It always starts when you go through passport control at the airport. You know your back when a mean face looks at you, ignores your friendly hello and just expects everyone to be a criminal as you flew in from another country. How dare you have not stayed in beautiful Germany, how dare you visit friends and family in another country.
Want to see some real OCD shit? Watch a German pack up after a few hours at the beach. Seriously takes them 20 minutes to fold up a towel and put it in a bag (no exaggeration), longer if they're male so they can try to casually spot naked women. Country of metally handicapped retards.
What's with all Germans in positions of petty power (cashiers, Bürgeramt people, receptionists, etc.) always bitching and whining about every single thing possible when your issue strays 1% from the norm even though they almost always end up just doing their job in the end? Is this country run by autistics? Can't imagine how unbearable such a life must be.
Germans are so freaking stupid. When they need to drill 20 holes, instead of measuring and then drilling all 30 holes, they freaking drill one hole, wait 10 min and then drill the next so it ruins your whole freaking weekend. Think soul. Let's say it was fake, it does not change a thing about that. He clearly feels relieved after saying how he feels. What does it actually matter what is on his mind, even fakeness, the real level is not on the mind. You gotto actually grasp, the suffering comes from thinking so, leading to such because human is human, there is only good way to be.
But that doesn't mean a thing I guess. Anyway I meant that you can see how he replies to the other not laughing with him aka truly something that didn't take place, with what took place. Funny thing is Berlin is making me more conservative than I thought I was. I view myself as a liberal person but after seeing all this dysfunction I sometimes wonder. Sigh

No, this city brings out what you already were. You all was right thinking deep down the city just brought out the truth. For example, I always had a temper but dealing with these people has turn me into an butt hole. The truth, I already was an jerk deep down. Circumstances brought out my true face. I thought the same for a while, but it's not really true for me. If you believe normal things like that free speech trumps personal feelings, that people can be responsible and accountable for themselves, that children shouldn't be raised in naked play groups, that publicly smoking crack should be punished, that public urination should incur a fine, that unlimited government handouts create weak people, that the violent squatters at Rigaer should be locked away, that AFD shouldn't have to cancel their Parteitag 3 times because of threats of violence toward the chosen venues, that everyone who opposes mass immigration isn't a nazi and so on and so forth then you are called conservative bordering fascist here. I am just as liberal as I have ever been, just that the people here are ideologists that have been poisoned by radical leftism. Germany's going to negotiate itself right into another war with the kind of leftwing demagogues that live here.
Thanks for these comments! I was kind of shocked to see myself turning more and more conservative while living in Berlin for 2 years. I'm from the south of Germany, which is often frowned upon from people on Berlin for being more conservative, but the longer I lived in Berlin I started to realise that so many things just work much better back home. I think one of the main reasons for Berlin being so dysfunctional is the extreme left wing ideology of many people. I'm still considering myself a liberal, but I can't stand the ideology of people in Berlin, which is often as backward as people with a very right wing stance (which I despise even more)
They make big bucks of selling berlin to expats, whole markets of relocation helpers emerged which sells you overpriced flats for english speakers and assistance in burgeramt, eventually after 3 years most of ppl leave this city but they can advertise it to new ones. They have no interest of telling the truth to anybody, and probably local startup markets pays to bloggers to advertise this god forsaken city to foreigners, when i read the opinions like "about dirty and grungy but i love it to death", "this is best city in the world" while knowing the truth it makes me vomit
There are way too many dogs in this city and the owners don't even take care. The city is a dog toilet, owner never clean up after their dogs. On trains you have dogs scratching your shoes and the owner doesn't hold back their child substitute. Oh, and during rush hour people take their dogs on trains. If you are lucky they will also have a bike with them. During rush hour!

Saw a report on german tv about the problem finding nurses to work in germany since the salary is so bad compared to working hours and no german want to do this work. And in a society where Germans get older they NEED nurses.
Germany decides to recruit nurses from countrys like Mexico or Kosovo and so on ...

They want foreign nurses to work here as Altenpfleger since there's a huge shortage now that the sexist, mandatory social year/military thing is over. Now that AKK is out and (hopefully) her plan to force all young Germans to do a year of social work is dead, they'll push even more for it. Germans think foreigners are only here for low level entertainment or to clean up after them.

I felt pissed. I been walking over a plaza. There is a little street to cross. I could sense a car. 99 outta 100 times a car drives by. I was lighting up a cigarette expecting it to do so. I didn't look. But the car wanted to park to my right. It shud have stopped because I obviously noticed it. But it drove right in front me standing at the edge of the pavement to then park backwards from there. I then lit up my smoke cause I'm waiting there for someone. I always do so. I said lets meet at the edge of the pavement
