Does anyone have any stories of Germans pretending to be your friend than turning on you for whatever reason? I have found them to be super flaky, insecure, and not truthful.
Maybe Berliners are the reason, I even know Germans who say the same thing about them.

They don't have many "real friends" for the very reason. I came thinking I was building friendships but after they turned on me and destroyed whatever we had built they shrugged it off by saying. I am German and it is simply not true. We are very honest and genuine people and we do not pretend to like you. If you want to be friends with a German you should stop acting like a foreigner and act like a German, make only intellectual jokes and do not talk about Hitler so much. I am a German and this is true. Specially on Alexanderplatz the people are very rude to me and call me insulting names. Once I went to the police department direct on Alexanderplatz after someone called me a "pig-f*cker" and the police person there said it happens a lot but they will not do anything unless the person is aggressive! This is becoming a big problem I am getting scared to walk in day at Alexanderplatz because of this people.

I have never heard of any employer in Germany covering the full cost of an employee's insurance but it is pretty commonplace in the US. I hope none of you ever face a dental emergency in Germany and expect your insurance to cover any of it. I hope you enjoy sharing your hospital room with three other people who have communicable diseases.
