The Berlin children play only with their parents, or with their siblings, but not with other children! When I go with my little son in Berlin on a children's playground, no one is ever going to be there with us. German isn't a very precise language at all. No one is impressed by the fact that you have declinations that make is marginally easier to decipher, in unnecessarily long sentences, what the subjects and predicates are. Plus there are tons of verbs that have multiple meanings, sometimes quite literally opposite meanings. Germans THINK that their mother tongue is very precise because, and this is a revelation for Germans I am sure, it is the language they know best. The French also THOUGHT their language most closely mimicked natural thought. Certainly doesn't make it true. Just means your country is full of nationalists who are always trying to identify non-controversial channels for expressing their patriotism.

To be honest, the average German doesn't even know the word expat. I have never once in almost 10 years been called an expat by a German, just a foreigner or "Ausländer". And I honestly don't really care what these cucks think of me. And, by the way, I'm the most American person in Berlin.
I think many just don't know how to express it properly. "Im Ausland Lebender" just doesn't appear so easily. In a way the word Ausländer isn't really bad. Until about a week or two ago I had never even heard the term MGTOW. Read about it here first, then saw a guy post about an MGTOW Berlin group on facebook in the Americans in Berlin group. Both here and there a bunch of people started attacking the person talking about it for no apparent reason. Seems like most German men these days are happy dating non-German women. But be weary of the Western European leftist mentality (that has also infiltrated the US and Canada, unfortunately).
