1: Become an ass: Give Germans a taste of their own medicine. Don’t accept any poop from them, ever!! Always call them out on their shxt! No matter the circumstances or location, don’t be afraid to check them when necessary.
2: Don’t trust anyone here: There is something in the air here that attracts the most slimy, predatory ( men and women) individuals. Germans or other migrants from different countries. Every one here is looking to gain something from you whatever that my be. This is a big warning! Most of the people here aren’t good people. Narcissism runs high in this place.
3: Germans, deep down are racist: In my experience, more young Germans are more racist than the old. They pretend to be open but deep down they don’t won’t you here. Germans are in love with their own image. An image only fellow Germans could love.
4: Dating: Just forget about it! Don’t do it. You will regret it afterwards. Besides, Germans see you as an experiment. They are all the same regarding they personalities. All the same= boring, boring and boring.
5: Constant gawking: I promise you if you pretend you don’t see them looking at you it will drive them crazy. They gain power in their ability to make you uncomfortable. I’ve had these weirdos gawk at me until I gave in and gave them attention. Big mistake on my part! I learned my lesson nonetheless. Ignore them and see their insecurities come to the surface.
Anyway, be strong and ruthless and a freaking jerk to these people until you get out here. Remember you are at war for your sanity. Don’t let these neo-Nazis win.
Why do the pillows and blankets in this country suck so much shit?
So Friday I sent my Abmeldung to the freaking office! Today I rented a van to get my stuff back home! I ended up almost 5 years! Thursday 6 am I am gonna drive home and be trying never gonna be looking back! I am not gonna lie: Almost my whole time here was miserable, made 3 friends in all these years! Dating: maybe twice, gave up afterwards! Wasted countless years in useless start ups! Almost skint! Enough to get an Appartement in my hometown! The day you post that freaking Abmeldung letter in the letterbox, imagine that feeling! Still I have hard Time Accepting I had wasted 5 years of my life here! I wish you guys all the best, keep your sanity! And most of all don’t fall in the trap and cycle of alcohol and drugs if you feel unhappy…work towards your exit! I m out! Peace

It is so distasteful how German media outlets like DW have the nerve to air documentaries about the Holocaust or postwar Jewish life in Europe. They disingenuously try so hard to downplay the severity of past events and distance themselves from their dark past. It's a cynically ugly attempt to project a phony image of their society being remorseful or exempt from their past. These attitudes and this type of behavior are insult to the memory of those who perished.

Germany is fucked.
Modern Germany should be understood as fundamentally religious, a collective based on rituals of state worship, repentance, sacrilege, exclusion etc. They don't know this, obviously, because they fancy themselves enlightened, which they associate with the most banal kind of "scientific" materialism, but it's true. These people are basically in a cult predicated on a set of semi-intelligible informal institutions such as submission to authority, the repetition of mediatised slogans, planned inefficiency in the name of "the environment" etc., as well as complete ideological uniformity in the guise of "diversity". In fact, this is one of the least "diverse" societies in world history with the possible exception of tribal communities and full-fledged dictatorships.
This really deserves more upvotes. The wisdom contained here takes years and years to glean.

This line alone explains Germans better than I could in 5 pages. I was never religious or spiritual, but the material realm that Germans inhabit is definitely a colder, harder one than I have seen elsewhere. Emotions don't exist in Germany, nor does love or honor. In their place are intellectual justifications for any action that emulate a true emotion. Germans don't tell their children that they love them because they don't: they care for them (in the least emotional sense of the word "care") because they are legally obligated to. Germans aren't at the forefront of developing cyborgs and AI because creating more Germans is easier.
This country took my human side away from me.
I have not met any new person since 3 years, I have not been dating in this country for ages, I don't remember when was the last time, I have had chit chat with a person, I just don't have any desire to go out actually.
This country provides you job (with okayish pay ofc even tough you hold some high skills) and okayish quality of life in terms of purchasing power and travelling but It certainly does not satisfy the need of human interaction. I mean, you are basically seen as " a foreigner who comes to work here" nothing else
Can't wait to leave this country soon. Finally, I have had courage to take some steps into leaving this country
I can only advise anyone not to learn the language and stay in their "expat bubble" if possible and eventually make their way out.
If you speak decent German like me, you will only get insights you wish you hadn't.
I can't remember how often I read the news like talking of a man killing his wife by 30 stabs and then throwing her out the window who will be facing 8 (!!) f** years in jail.
Remember this victim could be you or a loved one. No one here has any compassion or is crying for the victim. I only pray that me and my friends will never have to attend a courtroom facing a German boomer judge giving those ridiculous sentences with a diabolical smile. What the hell is wrong with this society.
Anyone else has noticed how some of the foreigners who move to Germany tend to adapt the worst traits of German culture and internalize them? In my experience, eastern Europeans who spend some time in Germany tend to become "besserwisserisch" (arrogant, know-it-all, despotic, dogmatic, close-minded, delusional) or fixated on things that previously had no significance to them.
