Every day, I am harassed. Touched, groped, shouted at and aggressively stared at/watched. Yes, I am female, yes I am white. So what? I am a decent, peace loving human being. All I want is respect in all of its forms, not just in terms of being harassed. When I have tried to explain this to the Leftists in the workplace, I am victim blamed for looking too "bourgeois". That means, I have a wash daily, brush my hair (at least) and dress well. I am not hurting anyone. I just care about myself in many ways. Can anyone identify with this and shed some light, or am I just a whining, bleating "bourgeois" who gets what she deserves?

"Fascism" isn't left and it isn't breaking store windows and rioting with police. The right constantly tries to redefine terms so their idiot base remains ignorant as hell and impossible to communicate with. There is a small group that aligns "left" but have a very different idea of what is okay and works during protests. They tend to be younger guys and crusties (though not all). Their actions also attract various people who just want to be part of the action and may not really align left at all. The vast majority of protesters are not involved in these incidents but the media focuses on them and loops them, particularly right media, giving the impression every protester is involved and that they are happening non-stop all day.

You are really peddling propaganda. Look no further than the G20 protests, or if you must, to the protests at Berkley. The people destroying smal businesses and cracking open heads are very much leftists. And the "punch-a-nazi" drones who cheer on violent crimes are also leftists. The left is full of unsavory people. And the media does its best to downplay everything they do. Look at official police statistics in any German city - a small number of leftists are responsible for a larger number of crimes.

Berlin was better in the GDR-times. Now it's a hipster paradise. Almost everybody have tattoos and are info art and bullshit. All the Muslims also make Berlin a very unpleasant and unsafe place. Their disgusting culture has ruined this city forever. Burkas and Döner kebab everywhere. The gay culture is also too much. I have nothing against gays, but when they arrange gay parades, events for gays, gay clubs etc it just gets too stupid. Berlin is also a big mental hospital. To see someone in the streets talking to themselves is not uncommon. Also agree with the other poster about traffic and bikers. Very aggressive and the bikers think they own the streets. If there is a small disagreement, the bikers won't hesitate to yell at you and show their fuckfingers. I hate Berlin from the bottom of my heart! This ugly, filthy city can only be good if it is removed from the map with an atomic bomb and a new city to be built on the ruins.

Leave Berlin to the anarchists, LeftTurds and Feminists, to fend for themselves, they wouldn't last a week without handouts from real people's taxes.

Who do they think would employ them with their faces covered with tattoos and punctured with stupid metal studs and ridiculous huge lobe-rings and any other gimmick they think will draw attention to to their attention seeking lives. I have known a lot of foreigners in Germany from different backgrounds. The students are passing through, but many of the ones from East Europe I knew decided to stay. They're all working more-or-less insignificant jobs, like most jobs in Berlin, that nonetheless pay better than they would in Poland, Romania, Hungary and Ukraine. I can kind of understand these people because those places are economic nightmares.

But I have also met a lot of older people who had at some point earlier in their lives had semi-successful careers. I once interviewed a 40+ former radio host from Chicago for a customer service job at a Berlin "start-up". It was depressing for me, a 22 year old at the time. Later I met people who came here from Silicon Valley to work at information engineers at "start-ups" only to grow frustrated at either quit emotionally after a year or two or, the stronger ones, head back home after a few months.

I have only really met one person here who really seemed to love the city. He has a kind of naivety in him that reminds me of children under 10. I've gone out with him a few times and have witnessed random people in the city treating him very badly, I'm guessing because of his strong accent and positive aura. But he still acts like Berlin is the greatest city ever and to say otherwise would be sacrilege. Despite having a good degree from a decent school in America, he has remained stuck in receptionist jobs the entire time I've known him.
